21 May 25 – John Yep: Thoughts on the Pope Leo XIV

Today’s Topics: 1) Gospel – John 15:1-8 – Jesus said to His disciples: “I am the true vine, and My Father is the vine grower. He takes away every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, and everyone that does He prunes so that it bears more fruit. You are already pruned because of the word that I spoke to you. Remain in Me, as I remain in you. Just as a branch cannot bear fruit on its own unless it remains on the vine, so neither can you unless you remain in Me. I am the vine, you are the branches. Whoever remains in Me and I in him will bear much fruit, because without Me you can do nothing. Anyone who does not remain in Me will be thrown out like a branch and wither; people will gather them and throw them into a fire and they will be burned. If you remain in Me and My words remain in you, ask for whatever you want and it will be done for you. By this is My Father glorified, that you bear much fruit and become My disciples.” Memorial of Saint Christopher Magallanes, Priest, and Companions, Martyrs Saints Cristopher and Companions, pray for us! Bishop Sheen quote of the day 2, 3, 4) John Yep, CEO of Catholics for Catholics, on his recent trip to Rome and thoughts on Pope Leo XIV

Not as the world gives do I give it to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled or afraid. You heard Me tell you, ‘I am going away and I will come back to you.’ If you loved Me, you would rejoice that I am going to the Father; for the Father is greater than I. And now I have told you this before it happens, so that when it happens you may believe. I will no longer speak much with you, for the ruler of the world is coming. He has no power over Me, but the world must know that I love the Father and that I do just as the Father has commanded Me.” Memorial of Saint Bernardine, Priest Saint Bernardine, pray for us! Today’s Topics: 1) Gospel – John 14:21-26 – Jesus said to His disciples: “Whoever has My commandments and observes them is the one who loves Me. Whoever loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and reveal Myself to Him.” Judas, not the Iscariot, said to Him, “Master, then what happened that You will reveal Yourself to us and not to the world?” Jesus answered and said to him, “Whoever loves Me will keep My word, and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our dwelling with him. Whoever does not love Me does not keep My words; yet the word you hear is not Mine but that of the Father Who sent Me. “I have told you this while I am with you. The Advocate, the Holy Spirit Whom the Father will send in My Name– He will teach you everything and remind you of all that I told you.” Bishop Sheen quote of the day 2) Inaugural Mass of Pope Leo XIV in Saint Peter’s Square https://nypost.com/2025/05/18/world-news/pope-leo-xiv-formally-opens-his-pontificate-with-inaugural-mass-in-st-peters-square-before-tens-of-thousands/ [https://www.google.com/url?q=https://nypost.com/2025/05/18/world-news/pope-leo-xiv-formally-opens-his-pontificate-with-inaugural-mass-in-st-peters-square-before-tens-of-thousands/&sa=D&source=calendar&usd=2&usg=AOvVaw3_BOJt2s9rjhuR9vBD3DAu] 3) Catholics for Catholics CEO: Pope Leo XIV’s record starts now https://www.newsmax.com/newsmax-tv/john-yep-hilary-franco-pope-leo-xiv/2025/05/08/id/1210189/ [https://www.google.com/url?q=https://www.newsmax.com/newsmax-tv/john-yep-hilary-franco-pope-leo-xiv/2025/05/08/id/1210189/&sa=D&source=calendar&usd=2&usg=AOvVaw1QzJvDrqLpR0Oe8ZDoikak] 4) Pope Leo XIV affirms the family is based upon the union between a man and a woman, and the unborn has inherent dignity https://apnews.com/article/vatican-pope-leo-peace-abortion-f0678b67da0dc74b4bc7e6e10a77a23e [https://www.google.com/url?q=https://apnews.com/article/vatican-pope-leo-peace-abortion-f0678b67da0dc74b4bc7e6e10a77a23e&sa=D&source=calendar&usd=2&usg=AOvVaw3lZqLY5C0DF-W6RS2165j_]

16 May 25 – The Blessed Mother’s Role in the Economy of Salvation

Today’s Topics: Gospel – John 2, 1-11 – On the third day there was a wedding in Cana in Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there. Jesus and His disciples were also invited to the wedding. When the wine ran short, the mother of Jesus said to him, “They have no wine.” And Jesus said to her, “Woman, how does your concern affect me? My hour has not yet come.” His mother said to the servers, “Do whatever he tells you.” Now there were six stone water jars there for Jewish ceremonial washings, each holding twenty to thirty gallons. Jesus told them, “Fill the jars with water.” So they filled them to the brim. Then he told them, “Draw some out now and take it to the headwaiter.” So they took it. And when the headwaiter tasted the water that had become wine, without knowing where it came from (although the servers who had drawn the water knew), the headwaiter called the bridegroom and said to him, “Everyone serves good wine first, and then when people have drunk freely, an inferior one; but you have kept the good wine until now.” Jesus did this as the beginning of his signs in Cana in Galilee and so revealed his glory, and his disciples began to believe in him. 1, 2, 3, 4) Father William Wagner, ORC, joins Terry to discuss the Wedding feast at Cana and the role of the Blessed Mother in the Economy of Salvation

If you understand this, blessed are you if you do it. I am not speaking of all of you. I know those whom I have chosen. But so that the Scripture might be fulfilled, The one who ate my food has raised his heel against me. From now on I am telling you before it happens, so that when it happens you may believe that I AM. Amen, amen, I say to you, whoever receives the one I send receives Me, and whoever receives Me receives the One Who sent Me.” Bishop Sheen quote of the day 2, 3) 55 things you need to know about the New Pope, Leo XIV https://www.politico.com/news/magazine/2025/05/09/55-things-you-need-to-know-about-the-new-pope-leo-xiv-00338515 [https://www.google.com/url?q=https://www.politico.com/news/magazine/2025/05/09/55-things-you-need-to-know-about-the-new-pope-leo-xiv-00338515&sa=D&source=calendar&usd=2&usg=AOvVaw3Mzq7X7qOzaM31s9hYN8eZ] 4) A prayer for Pope Leo XIV by Bishop Strickland https://www.knightsrepublic.com/single-post/a-prayer-for-pope-leo-xiv [https://www.google.com/url?q=https://www.knightsrepublic.com/single-post/a-prayer-for-pope-leo-xiv&sa=D&source=calendar&usd=2&usg=AOvVaw0dv3ijIbNFJzOuEBIVmg0f]
