The Third Watch
This first episode of The Third Watch walks straight into the Garden of Gethsemane and exposes why Peter’s denial didn’t start in the courtyard, it started hours earlier when he fell asleep. Jesus spent months teaching watchfulness, readiness, and faithfulness in small things. When the moment came, the disciples had knowledge but no preparation. Confidence without discipline collapsed under pressure. This episode unpacks the meaning of the Third Watch, the most dangerous hour of the night, when human vulnerability is highest and vigilance fails. Drawing from Matthew 26, Roman military history, and the biology of exhaustion, this teaching shows why the small, unseen disciplines shape who we become in crisis. If you fail in the micro, you will fail in the macro. What you rehearse in private is what you perform in public. This is a call to stay awake, stay connected to God through prayer, and stop trusting your own strength. The test is coming. The question is whether you’ve trained for it.
