Our Time is Under Orders

Time is one of the most valuable gifts God has given us, yet it’s often the thing we manage the worst. In this episode, Michael Anderson explores what Scripture says about the Lordship of Jesus over our time and why the way we spend our days reveals what truly has our priority. Psalm 31 reminds us that our times are in God’s hands. If that’s true, then every hour we live is meant to be stewarded for His purposes. Time is God’s gift to us. What we do with that time is our gift back to God.

Formed by the Word

In Episode 2, we explore why the Word of God must be the final authority in a believer’s life. Looking at 2 Timothy 3:16–17, we discuss how Scripture shapes our decisions, priorities, and mission. If we are serious about making disciples, we must first be formed by God’s Word. This episode challenges us to examine what truly has the final say in our lives and to establish a daily rhythm of Scripture.

Authority

Before Jesus commands us to go, He first declares His authority. In this opening episode of Under Orders, we explore Gospel of Matthew 28:18–20 and the foundation of true discipleship: living under the lordship of Christ. If we do not first recognize His authority, we will only follow Him where we are comfortable. This episode sets the stage for the journey ahead—learning what it truly means to live, follow, and make disciples under the authority of Jesus.
