This week has been heavy. The tragic loss of life and the responses surrounding it have reminded me of the importance of compassion, humility, and love even when we don’t agree. But today also marks something special: the close of season one of The Unfinished Podcast. In this finale, I share what it took to show up every week with honesty and transparency, how God placed this podcast on my heart, and why I’m so grateful for every listener who joined me on the journey. From Striving to Abiding: Building with God, Not for God

So often, without even realizing it, we approach God like we approach broken or conditional relationships feeling like we have to prove our worth, earn His love, or do enough to keep Him close. But the truth is, His love is unconditional, and when we learn to abide in Him, the fruit of the Spirit begins to flow naturally through our lives (Galatians 5:22–23). In this honest and soul-searching episode, I share how difficult it was to even show up and press record not because I didn’t want to, but because of the inner work God has been doing in me lately. I’ve been praying a simple but dangerous prayer: “Lord, search my heart.” And when I tell you… He’s been answering it. Through scripture, reflection, and personal testimony, I talk about what it means to let God expose what’s really in our hearts — especially in seasons of pruning and pressure. We’ll walk through passages like Jeremiah 17:9, Genesis 6:5, and John 15, and unpack how the Word of God reveals the truth about our hearts, how deceit can take root, and why pruning is not punishment it’s preparation for more fruit. Even in the midst of new beginnings …launching this podcast, speaking at my first women’s conference, and walking through doors I prayed for God has been pruning me. And maybe He’s pruning you too.
