Gary Yeager served as a Machine Gunner with the 101st Airborne in Vietnam from 1967 to 1968. William Fred Aronow served as an officer with D Co. 2/501 Infantry (Delta Raiders) of the 101st Airborne Division from 1967 to 1968. During his tour in Vietnam, Aronow would earn a Silver Star, two Bronze Stars, an Air Medal, and various decorations from the South Vietnamese government. He stayed in the Army after the war and retired at the rank of Colonel.

Bob Martin enlisted in the Army in 1963, did four tours in Vietnam, earned a Silver Star, three Purple Hearts, a Bronze Star with “V”; survived combat operations with the 1st Cavalry Division in 1965, a stint walking point with a recon platoon in the 101st Airborne Division, a period advising with Special Forces, and another carrying out search-and-destroy missions with the 173rd Airborne. After the war, he stayed in the Army and retired in 1983.
