Delivered by 1in6.uk [https://www.1in6.uk/] In this first podcast of a new series exploring real stories from male survivors of unwanted sexual experiences, activist and actor, Stephen Hart, opens up to, 1in6.uk ally, Phil King, about the abuse he suffered in his early years and how he was drugged and raped and contracted HIV when he was a teenager.  He talks about his trauma and how he was just ‘waiting to die’ until one day, he started to write about his experiences, which proved to be the therapeutic spark for him to begin to heal. He went on to write a one man play ’Shadowed Dreamer’, which finished on Broadway in New York City. Stephen’s story is a challenging but inspiring story of trauma and healing, which he shares with you in the hope that it will help other male survivors in their journey to recovery.
