The Wayfinding Podcast
Are you pursuing your definition of success? Or someone else's? In 2019, Populace (a think tank) coupled with the Gallup organization to ask Americans what they really think about success. (Canadians: I suspect the findings carry over the border.) The results are fascinating. There is a significant gap between how we think society defines success and how we personally define it. This gap leads us to measure ourselves against standards that are not our own. And, from what I see in my practice, this leads to dissatisfaction and frustration, as well as a dip in life satisfaction. So if you want to feel more satisfied at work and in life, you need to take a close look at what your personal metrics of success are and work towards those. In this episode, I: * walk you through the research on success, * make a case for defining and pursuing success on your terms, * and share a question to help you find your personal definition. Discover your personal definition of success by completing my Start With the End in Mind Activity.
