Descripción

This podcast has been 1 month of writing and probably 20 years of thinking. There are so many ways I've seen all of us do community badly resulting in hurt humans, split churches, broken families. There's got to be a better way and I believe there is. Not that I've got all the answers. But I do know what a lot of the pitfalls are. This is a public episode. Communal Belly Flop

Last time I talked about community and I loved that journey through what has and what hasn't worked in my life. Things I've witnessed, conclusions... It was an interesting thought process.  The crux of community lies in the formation of deeply felt and expressed individual relationship bonds. The kind that keep you connected in crisis and in celebration. The kind that you are willing to hold on to despite the complexity of lives not lived cheek to cheek.  At a point in my life I lived in a ministry community. We ate together, lived together, worked together, played together. It was like having a 45 acre, multi-dwelling family house. And it definitely had it's perks. It had it's drawbacks too, for sure.
