Matt Mair Lowery, writer and editor of ThoughtScape Comics, talks with artist Valentine Barker. Valentine is a freelance illustrator and comic artist originally from San Jose, California. He studied illustration at the California College of Arts and Crafts. A regular on the comic con circuit for ten years selling his popular prints, his first graphic novel, The Airless Year  (with writer Adam P. Knave and Letterer Frank Cvetkovic) was published by Dark Horse Comics in 2022. Valentine lent his amazing chops to the ThoughtScape Comics project by creating the cover for TSC #3. George is a journalist and the author of three books: Strange Angel: The Otherworldly Life of Rocket Scientist John Whiteside Parsons, The Remarkable Millard Fillmore: The Unbelievable Life of a Forgotten President, and Death: A Life. Strange Angel was adapted into a television series on CBS All Access with Ridley Scott executive producing. Matt and George collaborate on the world-building of The ThoughtScape and the history of LifeTech, the corporation at the center of the ThoughtScape concept, and George wrote the front and back matter for TSC issues #2 and #3.
