Bad Bunny was on Hot Ones and I chat about how we need to not expect ALL Latinos to eat spicy things like Mexicans do. From the TikTok world, I give some updates from the world of Ash Trevino and my rants on performative allyship of other live streamers; and also, how TikTok chisme pages think they are journalist. Then, I continue my vent on how colorism in the media portrays brown Spanish speaking Latinos as criminals in news and yet applauds white storytellers who perpetuate those narratives at the Oscars, and gives TV shows to white skinned non-Latinas like Hillary Baldwin who cosplays a Spanish accent; ALL WHILE ACTUAL LATINOS ARE BEING DEPORTED. -- Grammys 2025: My love for 'Cowboy Carter' and defense that it is INDEED COUNTRY. Plus, some Mexican and Indigenous origins of cowboy culture. The Superbowl. Lastly, The Paris Fashion Week debut by Chicano designer - Willy Chavarria - his collection "Tarantula" an ode to Chicano Pachuco style.

this episode went long so it's two parts. Part 1 - I am recapping: some tiktok trends that were hating on Mexicans, one inauguration outfit chisme, deportation raids, the Latino freeze, Latino voters for Trump, the Grupo Frontera backlash. Then I continue my rant about how I hate Emilia Pérez, plus my joy at Johanne Sacreblu - the parody film by Mexican filmmaker and trans woman Camila Aurora - who made this as a reply to Emilia Pérez. Oh and that reminded me of the whole Karla Gascon twitter-gate of problematic / racist resurfaced old tweets.
