Section 28 and Me Wales - Full English/Welsh Podcast

During LGBTQ history month artist Tom Marshman worked with 4 local queer communities, 4 venues and 4 performance practitioners to explore section 28 and its lasting impact across Wales. He hosted community gatherings through tea parties gathering personal stories and reflections on section 28. Tea parties were hosted at Pontio, Bangor, Sherman Theatre, Cardiff, partnering with National Theatre Wales, Aberration at Aberystwyth Arts Centre and The Torch, Millford Haven. Each tea party was attended by a guest artist, either Welsh or living in Wales, who were commissioned to make a micro-performance for the tea party. This podcast reflects on this process, and includes audio versions of the pieces commissioned. Supported by Arts Council Wales.
