It’s the oldest continuous franchise that has never moved or changed its name. The Green Bay Packers have some of the greatest fans on earth! Music captivates us. It can make us happy, or sad. And like a time machine, it can transport us to days gone bye and allow us to relive memories from long ago.  What is it about music that can move us to tears, or bring us unrivaled happiness? How come music unites people from all races, walks of life and even different generations? And why do sold out audiences pay to watch them perform and travel around the globe to see them? Why do so many artists take the stage until their dying day?  I’m Hank Davis and this is TPE Network Presents: The Mystery of Music.

Hank's Curtain Call

This episode chronicles Hank's proposed retirement from TPE Network. Ready to move on, Hank has a plan to announce his retirement at a meet-up in Michigan during the summer of 2020. However, the TPE Network community and a global pandemic have other plans for Hank. We all think we know what the end looks like. There’s a checklist that we think we’ll get to check off and then everything gets wrapped up nice and tidy. We ride off into the sunset and live happily ever after. NAH… It’s early 2020. Hank and his ex have officially split. He’s about to move into a new place, buy a new car, get a promotion at his job, and win a year-long legal battle against two of his siblings. Things are about to start looking up. But let’s rewind one month prior.

From race and gender swapping, to putting a character’s sexual orientation front and center, Hollywood has altered the way content is presented. Many studios have mandated diversity and inclusion along with social and political messages, even in some period pieces in which certain representation and messaging is historically and geographically illogical. Collectibles

Men have been collecting toys since the 1960’s. Don Levine of Hasbro coined the phrase action figures in 1964 to market their G.I. Joe figure to boys who refused to play with dolls. I talked with fellow TPE Network host, and avid toy collector, John Price to gain insight on this topic. Whether collectibles are a slice of one’s past, a reminder of a simpler time, or an unhealthy obsession, one thing is certain, collectibles are big business.Statistics from 2020 reveal the collectibles market has eclipsed 370 billion dollars. It’s often said that the toys that are popular today will become collectibles in twenty years.
