Dawn DaLuise’s story is like something straight out of a Hollywood thriller — except it actually happened. In March of 2014 this infamous skincare queen would be arrested for soliciting the murder of one of her competitor's. After years of building a prestigious reputation for herself working with celebrities all over the city, her character was called into question.  As this case unraveled, we were left with more questions than answers but I imagine the truth lies somewhere in the middle of all sides to this story. On July 6th 1992 Marsha P. Johnson was found floating facedown in the Hudson River.  Her death was quickly ruled a suicide, but she had blunt force trauma to the back of the head. Sadly as a black transgender female, her case did not get the attention it deserved from police, but she did gain recognition around the world. On August 19th 1992, 20 year old Laurie Depies was finishing her shift at the Graffiti store in the Fox River Mall in Grand Chute Wisconsin.  She made plans to see her boyfriend after work and drove the 15 minutes to his apartment.  He was waiting for her to get off with a group of friends for a little summer get together. Laurie's boyfriend heard her vehicle pull in and went down to meet her after she didn't come upstairs right away, except Laurie wasn't there…So what happened to her? On Sunday June 24th 1973 The Upstairs Lounge in New Orleans was in full swing with people drinking, dancing, and laughing into the night. This was a well known gay bar in the French Quarter safe from prying eyes as it was located on the second floor.  By 8:00PM panic would set in for patrons as a fire blazed on the floor below trapping everyone in the bar upstairs. There was only one exit down a winding set of wooden stairs and it appeared that was where the fire had started. This was no accident, this was an intentional hate crime.
