Elizabeth was abducted on the 5th of June 2002, at the age of 14, from her own bedroom in Salt Lake City, Utah by Brian David Mitchell. Elizabeth endured horrendous treatment at the hands of Brian Mitchell for almost a year before being reunited with her family thanks to someone recognising her abductor and phoning the authorities. Elizabeth Smart has displayed so much resilience despite everything she went through and went on to be an advocate for victims of abduction and sexual assault. Part 1: Encounters of the Unseen: Unravelling the First UFO Sighting & Alien Abduction

In this weeks episode of Twisted Talks we dive into the first reported UFO sighting and the first reported alien abduction. The first reported UFO sighting takes us back to June of 1947, when civilian pilot Kenneth Arnold was on his way to an air show and witnessed strange bright objects in the sky near him. The first reported alien abduction takes us back to September of 1961, when husband and wife, Barney and Betty Hill, were making their way back from Canada back to their home in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, USA. What happened to them that night would not become clear until quite some time after as a result of undergoing hypnosis to get back their repressed memories.
