Values Based Life
Veena Murthy is a seasoned healthcare leader, strategist, and operator with over two decades of experience shaping the future of value-based care. With a clinical foundation and deep expertise across strategy and operations, she currently leads clinical operations at TailorCare, a value-based care organization focused on transforming musculoskeletal care. Throughout her career, Veena has been driven by a singular belief: that meaningful impact in healthcare begins with clarity of purpose - both at the system level and within ourselves. She has led high-performing teams, scaled clinical and operational models, and partnered across ecosystems to deliver care that is not only efficient but also deeply human. Beyond her professional leadership, Veena is a Certified WHY Coach through Simon Sinek's The Optimism Company, where she helps individuals uncover the deeper drivers behind how they lead, live, and show up. She is also the creator of the Back to Me framework, through which she mentors high-achieving women to reconnect with their identity, reclaim their voice, and lead from a place of alignment rather than expectation. A mother of two and a dedicated CrossFitter, Veena brings the same discipline, resilience, and curiosity from her personal life into her work. She is passionate about building communities of growth-oriented individuals, especially women, who are committed to evolving, both personally and professionally. At her core, Veena's work sits at the intersection of performance and purpose, helping people and systems operate at their highest potential without losing sight of what matters most. She lives by the belief: "You don't find your voice by becoming more of who the world expects you find it by returning to who you've always been." -- This episode is part of a new chapter of the Values Based Life podcast, the "Mentor Series." The Mentor Series features executives and other leaders from organizations that have a proven track record of operating in alignment with their mission, vision, purpose and values. By doing this they have created truly engaging cultures - environments where people love to work. The purpose of the Mentor Series is to highlight these committed organizations and share their stories with other leaders so everyone can see the huge benefits of being a Values Based Organization. We hope you enjoy listening to the Mentor Series episodes as much as I have enjoyed being in amazing conversations with these remarkable leaders.
