It’s about these two women and their sexuality and the connection that they have.” Cameron wrote the song with producer Evan Blair—as well as songwriters Delacey and Skyler Stonestreet—about her real-life experiences growing up queer.   Described by Cameron as a “queer anthem,” “Boyfriend” has surpassed 100 million Spotify streams and made several Billboard charts.
