Descripción

In Episode 59 of Via Love and Evolution, Sarah and Katrina reflect on the season of graduations, transitions, and new beginnings. As their children reach important milestones, they find themselves contemplating not only the futures unfolding before them, but also the paths they've traveled themselves. This conversation takes an unexpected and meaningful turn into the topic of regret. A universal human experience that often carries more wisdom than we give it credit for. Inspired by researcher and author Daniel Pink's work on the four types of regret: foundation regrets, boldness regrets, moral regrets, and connection regrets. Sarah shares her personal experience with boldness regret and the lessons she's learned about confidence, risk-taking, and trusting herself. Together, Sarah and Katrina explore what it means to cultivate confidence in our children while continuing to develop it within ourselves. They reflect on graduation as a metaphor for life itself: being handed a blank canvas and asked to create something meaningful. Looking back, they consider the blank canvases they've been given throughout their own lives and how their relationship to that pressure has evolved over time. The conversation also examines the invisible cages we sometimes build around ourselves. The limiting beliefs, fears, and stories that keep us from expressing who we truly are. What if the bars are made of thoughts? What if freedom begins by recognizing our ability to choose a different perspective? This episode is an invitation to get curious about the gift in regret and out ability to try and to learn. Because sometimes the life we're longing for is waiting on the other side of a bold desire we've been afraid to claim.

episode The Distance Between Us artwork

The Distance Between Us

In Episode 58 of Via Love and Evolution, Sarah and Katrina explore the delicate balance between connection, expectations, and personal responsibility. What does it mean to truly connect with others while also honoring your own capacity? How do we navigate the expectations we place on relationships and the expectations we place on ourselves? Together, we unpack the reality that belonging begins within, and that meeting our own needs is ultimately our responsibility first. This conversation is an invitation to step forward, take a risk, and advocate for what you need. To practice asking for support instead of assuming others know what you're carrying. To recognize that connection is a two-way street requiring both courage and clarity. As always, Sarah and Katrina bring relatable stories, honest reflections, and compassionate insight into the very human desire to feel seen, understood, and connected. Along the way, they explore the importance of recognizing our limits, honoring our capacity, and finding empowerment in owning both. And because life doesn't stop when the microphones turn on, enjoy a little background ambiance courtesy of Katrina's imaginative and spirited 8-year-old, reminding us that connection, growth, and belonging rarely happen in perfect silence. A conversation about needs, relationships, courage, and the ongoing practice of showing up for yourself and for each other.

I Will Remember You

In Episode 57 of Via Love and Evolution, Sarah and Katrina reflect on the deeper meaning of Memorial Day and what it means to become the "Memory Keepers" of the people we’ve loved and lost. At the heart of this episode is the remembrance of Stacy, Katrina’s best friend from high school, who passed away 11 years ago. Today, May 27th, would have been her birthday. Happy Birthday, Stacy! In honor of her life, Sarah and Katrina share stories about Stacy’s spirit, her best qualities, the love she gave so freely, and the fun and aliveness she brought into everyday moments. Together, they explore the healing power of speaking memories out loud how invoking the essence of those we’ve lost keeps their love present and alive within us. This conversation gently guides grief through the lens of gratitude. We reflect on how losing people who were so close to us changes who we are. Forever shaping our understanding of love, faith, forgiveness, friendship, and what truly matters. This episode is tender and heartfelt. A reminder that grief is not only about loss it’s also about carrying forward the love, lessons, and laughter of those who touched our lives so deeply.

Fear is a fantasy, too

In Episode 56 of Via Love and Evolution, Katrina opens the conversation by sharing a few of her favorite things: nostalgic characters from growing up in the ‘80s and ‘90s, along with a darling hand-painted portrait that now sits behind her as a daily reminder of the life-altering love of pets. Together, these reflections become an invitation to treasure what was while appreciating who and where we are now. As Spring unfolds, so do conversations around changing environments, digital cleansing, movement, shifting, clearing, and the necessary discomfort that often comes with growth. This season asks us to release what no longer fits and sometimes that process comes with uncertainty. Uncertainty can draw anxiety out of even the best of us. Sarah speaks openly about her own experience navigating the unknown and the vulnerability that naturally surfaces when life asks us to trust what we cannot yet see. In a world that often pressures certainty and perfection, being brave enough to stay open requires real courage. Together, Sarah and Katrina explore the risks of regret, what to do when you make the “wrong” move, and how fear is just as much a fantasy about the future as optimism is. The question becomes: which story do we want to feed? This episode is about expanding curiosity, strengthening self-compassion, and learning how to stay soft in a world that often rewards disconnection from self. We also reflect on the importance of rebelling against the toxic narratives that thrive when we feel ashamed, weak, guilty, or small. So channel your inner She-Ra, courageous warriors. Raises giant sword into the air - “For the honor of Love and Evolution!”

Life Has A Funny Way

Episode 55 of Via Love and Evolution is here… for real this time. How did we forget Episode 52? Honestly, probably because we’re busy moms who also somehow manage to podcast every week! HA! From our little corner of the world to yours: Happy Mother’s Day. We gave ourselves a week off to celebrate, rest, and soak in the sweetness (and chaos) of life. We’re back with an episode that feels both mature and maternal. Sarah draws inspiration from a few of the OG mothers of self-awareness and growth. Yes, we’ve got inspiration from Brené, we’ve got Maya, and we’ve even got Alanis. Sarah also shares her experience processing a big emotional transition, offering an honest glimpse into what it looks like to move through even expected and necessary change with tenderness and intention. Together, we practice mothering ourselves in real time, talking through the emotions of the past few weeks and honoring what it means to belong to ourselves first. We explore the impact of ritual, the power of safe presence, and the catharsis that comes from being witnessed while vulnerable. As always, we notice the subtle shifts in our cycles of growth and development and we return to the reminder that love is the ultimate source. We’re feeling grounded, reflective, and more connected to what we hope to give to others moving forward. Take care out there. We love you.
