Vintage Spotlight
Episode 16 of Vintage Spotlight brings something new to the table as we run our first ever vintage baseball fantasy draft, focused strictly on non-rookie cards from the pre-1953 era. This one was pure fun, but also revealing. Different approaches, different philosophies, and a reminder of just how deep the vintage pool really is when you move beyond rookie cards. We each draft five cards, explain our thinking, and open it up to you to tell us what we missed and whose list you’re taking. From there, we shift into one of the biggest conversations happening in the hobby right now: eye appeal and the rise of sticker services. We break down what’s actually going on, who the players are, how the systems differ, and why this movement is gaining traction whether people like it or not. This isn’t just about stickers. It’s about how collectors evaluate cards, where value comes from, and whether technical grading is enough anymore. Let us know in the comments: Which draft list you prefer?
