One thing that doesn't change as we age, is our obsession with our hair. For women over 60, many conversations often get around to asking one burning question..."Should I let my hair go grey?" In this episode, we will go there with our guest Ellen Taxman, a woman who prides herself in being "low fuss" in her appearance, and who even works in the field of aging. We hear from Ellen about her surprise that the Dye-Grey dilemma is causing so much confusion. So dive into our cheerfully rambling conversation about how our mothers' decisions about hair dyeing influenced us, dealing with others' opinions and how they view us and our evolving hair color, and the messages society is giving to women about aging. Join us for this episode, regardless of whether you have, or haven't, or are thinking you will or won't ever go grey. We would love to hear from you! Do you have ideas for future podcasts? Sleep Divorce? Rethinking the Shame of Sleeping Separately

More couples later in life are sleeping in separate rooms and in some cases separate homes. Called "Sleep Divorce" by the media, what does this trend say about evolving ways we are thinking about sleep, intimacy, self-empowerment and the judgment of others as we age? For many women over 60, sleep can feel precious and precarious. Figuring out just the right  pre-requisites for a good night's sleep is becoming more of a priority. What meaning do partners, and peers make of the desire some women feel to sleep apart, and how are women navigating the challenges and shame that may arise as a result?  Join Constance and Lori for this episode when they unpack the choice couples are making to sleeps separately. And -- a new feature -- we take a call from a WADY listener about her Sleep Divorce.  Show Notes: What is a Sleep Divorce [https://medicalxpress.com/news/2025-07-survey-reveals-americans-engage-divorce.html]? The Original Oldster: A Conversation with Sari Botton

Please join us for a lively chat with Sari Botton, founder of Oldster Magazine, about her recent rise to fame and her lifelong obsession with aging. After being rejected by endless employers in her 50s, and then working her butt off, she has finally earned a much-deserved seat at the publishing table, and her star continues to rise. We cover topics ranging from turning 60, becoming our more authentic selves, Sari’s dream that became the catalyst for Oldster, the fascinating phenomenon of subjective age, some of Sari’s favorite interviews and essays from Oldster, to a refreshing counter-narrative to assumptions about attractiveness in middle age.  And don’t forget to hang around for our “After Thoughts” where Lori and Constance unpack the episode and chat about our thoughts on what we heard.   SHOW NOTES Sari Botton [http://saribotton.com/]'s memoir in essays, And You May Find Yourself...Confessions of a Late-Blooming Gen-X Weirdo [https://bookshop.org/books/and-you-may-find-yourself/9781942762997], was chosen by Poets & Writers magazine for the 2022 edition of its annual "5 Over 50" feature [https://www.pw.org/content/5_over_50_2022?article_page=2].
