Descripción

In this episode I share the very real, deep and honest truth about how I've really struggled, and dare I say, absolutely hated, the experience over the past 6 weeks of having a puppy in mine and my daughter's life. I share what I've learnt about my self through this process, the healing of the emotional trauma of being a single special needs mother that's been triggered by our puppy's presence, and what I've hated about it.  I offer some insight into my view on the lack of authenticity on social media and how damaging that can be because there's no real representation of the struggles I've experienced as a first time puppy owner.  I share some of the things that have kept me going through this time and how my spiritual teachings and practices have allowed me to see and know that everything is happening in divine timing, and, despite the hardship and emotional turmoil I've been in, everything is going to be okay Support the show [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2455547/support] Connect with Tanya: Website [https://www.tanyasavva.com/] Substack [https://tanyasavva.substack.com/] Instagram [https://www.instagram.com/tanya.savva] This episode was recorded on Dharug Country and I acknowledge and pay my respects to the traditional custodians of this land.

EP 30 | What I learnt about our pup and my anger, from a kinesiology session

In this episode I share a little about what kinesiology is, how it works and what it aims to do. I share a story about what I discovered about our pup, Figgy, during a kinesiology session recently. Figgy was chosen to become an assistance dog for my daughter who is blind, autistic, intellectually delayed and anxious. We discovered some things about how she feels about being a dog, how she felt about leaving her mum and litter at 8 weeks of age, and her core belief about herself in this life time.  I also share what I discovered about the uncontrollable anger I’ve been feeling since Figgy came into our world. And I’ll give you a little secret – it’s not my anger!  If you’re a hard-core sceptic and don’t really believe in any of this energy and emotional work, well, to be frank, I’m surprised you’re even here! But I do implore you to listen because it is pretty fascinating and makes for a great story, even if you think I’m a little bit of a cray cray woo woo witchy girl. EP 28 | I wrote a memoir

In this episode, I am reading a post I am shared on Substack on the 16th April 2026. I share a story about the journal I bought over a decade ago to write my memoir in, and how, 10 years on, I can finally say “I wrote a memoir!” I also share some interesting physical symptoms that presented on the morning I was due to send my book out in the world to agents and publishers, and how memories from my childhood and early parenting journey was impacting on me feeling really good about sending my book out into the world.  Support the show [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2455547/support] Connect with Tanya: Website [https://www.tanyasavva.com/] Substack [https://tanyasavva.substack.com/] Instagram [https://www.instagram.com/tanya.savva] This episode was recorded on Dharug Country and I acknowledge and pay my respects to the traditional custodians of this land.

EP 27 | Ask and you shall receive

In this episode, I'm reading a post I am shared on Substack on the 14th March 2026. I talk about how the beliefs I created as a child to feel safe, shaped me into a resilient, self-reliant, helpful and independent adult who was too afraid to ask for help, in fear of being rejected.  And how a recent cry for help to alleviate the financial burden of purchasing and training an assistance dog for my daughter, who is blind, autistic and anxious, did the very opposite.  If you feel called to support Mackenzie and Figgy’s journey, you can do so here:  https://www.gofundme.com/f/help-kenzie-get-her-therapy-dog Support the show [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2455547/support] Connect with Tanya: Website [https://www.tanyasavva.com/] Substack [https://tanyasavva.substack.com/] Instagram [https://www.instagram.com/tanya.savva] This episode was recorded on Dharug Country and I acknowledge and pay my respects to the traditional custodians of this land.

EP 26 | Help Kenzie Get a Therapy Dog 🐶

In this episode I’m reading a post I shared on substack on 17th feb 2026. This is a  vulnerable and somewhat uncomfortable giant cry for help.  If you’ve been following me for a long (or even short) time, you’ll know that my daughter, Mackenzie has a disability and the impact of her multi-faceted diagnosis is layered in the most beautiful and complex.  I’m sharing some insight and reasoning into a big decision we are making as a family - getting a dog that will be trained as a therapy assistance animal - and to achieve the outcome, we need you.
