My Favorite Color is Red

We are all adults. We choose what we choose because we choose to choose it. No one makes us do anything we don’t want. Imagine someone telling you what color should be your favorite color! Imagine feeling like you could never truly tell anyone your favorite color because you care too much about what they’d think. It’s that simple. Yet so complex at the same time. Let’s talk about your favorite color. Your favorite color being literally anything you want it to be. Opinions. Lifestyles. Favorite food. It could be a way you dress, how do you do your hair? Parenting style. Sexual preference. Drinking alcohol. Getting drunk. Doing drugs. Running to be healthy? Lifting weights? Keto? Paleo? Whole 30? What’s your favorite color? And do you judge people for not having the same favorite color as you? Have you ever had a different favorite color? See how simple things could be if we just… respected other people’s favorite colors? And allowed them to change their favorite color as they please? We too would feel the freedom to do so. Maybe we’d be happier. Switch gears, be less proud, admit when you’re wrong and share your story about a time you learned a different perspective. A time you were humbled. A time your world was changed dramatically or only slightly. My favorite color was always Yellow. Today? My favorite color is Red.
