Wrexham Ready
Wrexham is bidding to be the UK City of Culture for 2029, and they're sponsoring the Wrexham Ready Podcast!! Rose chats to just a few of the many people involved in the bid including Joanna Knight OBE, Chair of Wrexham Community and Culture Trust who shares her pride for Wrexham. Wrexham is full of murals and so Rose is joined by the new Art Trail Coordinator Liam Stokes-Massey to hear about the stories behind some of the incredible artwork. We've spoken to many volunteers during these episodes, but this time Rose spoke to Dawn Roberts-McCabe who is Chief Officer of the Association of Voluntary Organisations in Wrexham to hear about the key role that volunteers play within the city. Lastly, Rose got the opportunity to visit a 300 million year old fossil forest - Stori Brymbo. She chats to Dr Tim and Nikki Sawyer all about how unique this place is. Don't forget to back the bid here [https://www.wrecsam2029.wales/en_gb/back-the-bid/]! Tickets for Lexus Wrexham Open now available here [https://wrexhamopentennis.com/tickets/]too!
