Jackson House to open in Greenfield Village on Friday

The grand opening of the Jackson Home in Greenfield Village is this coming Friday June 12th. The house was transported from Selma, Alabama and restored to its original look. Dr. Martin Luther King planned the future of the Civil Rights Movement from its living room. Jim Johnson, Director of Greenfield Village, spoke live with WWJ's Greg Bowman.

Aretha Franklin Amphitheatre hosts night of jazz on The Riverfront

The Aretha Franklin Amphitheatre on the Detroit riverfront will be hosting a special recurring event on Wednesdays for fans of Jazz music. Local nonprofit honors National Cancer Survivors Day

Over five percent of the U.S. population has heard the words "You have cancer." Sunday (June 7) is National Cancer Survivors Day, a day set aside to celebrate them and to shine a light on the long-term physical, emotional and social challenges after treatment.
