At the end of August, my life took an unexpected turn when I was diagnosed with Uveal Melanoma, eye cancer. 2 weeks ago I didn't even know you could get cancer in your eye and now at 29, I will soon start radiation treatment to kill the tumor in my eye. I wanted to just tell everyone what was going on as well as layout what the future plan is for treatment. If you are struggling remember that you are not alone, stay in the fight, and control what you can control then trust God with the rest. If you want to keep up with this fight through cancer I am making a website called fearintofuel.org where I will document as much as I can as I could not find that much initially. Ryan Aplin played QB from 2008-2012 at Arkansas State. He started from 2010-2012 and led the Red Wolves to back-to-back 10 win seasons and Sun Belt Conference Championships. During the 2011 and 2012 seasons, Aplin won the Sun Belt Player of the Year twice. Ryan Aplin is married to Tori Aplin and they have 3 children Maverick, Hawkins, and Naomi. Trey Booker Mays and Charleston CJ Girley both are from Pine Bluff and walked on in 2011 and played from 2011-2015. Booker is the infamous "Fainting Goat" from the 2014 Miami game and CJ Girley was liable to lay someone out any play he was in. During this episode, you get to see their journey from walk-on to earning a scholarship and becoming game-changing starters. Booker Mays is currently working at Arkansas State in student relations and lives in Jonesboro Arkansas. CJ Girley works as an accountant, is the author of the book "The Black Accountant" and is also a real estate investor. Carlos "C-Low" McCants was a team captain on the 2013 Sunbelt Conference Champion Arkansas State Red Wolves football team. Carlos played from 2009-2013 and earned his degree in sports management. Los helped greatly improve the Arkansas State Letterman's Club and made major contributions to ASU during his employment at the university. Tyler Greve and Alan Wright were 2 of the 10 stubborn men that played from 2010-2014. Both Alan and Tyler played offensive line and are from Arkansas. Tyler Greve currently works for the Department of Defense as a teacher and Alan Wright has his own farm in Cave City Arkansas.
