Adam Dunigan [https://substack.com/profile/468182452-adam-dunigan] served in the Marine Corps, deployed to Afghanistan, worked as a CIA case officer and then stepped down to run for congress three years before pension eligibility because he saw this moment and realized he needed to serve the people of Virginia in a higher capacity and give them a true representative. Please check out our discussion about service before self and taking on the dark side of politics. And hear a cool CIA story as well! Taking Action

“1,000 Miles to Memphis” is a civil rights solidarity march and voter registration campaign kicking off on July 25, 2026. The 30-day journey runs from July 27 to August 27, 2026, routing from Nashville to Atlanta, Birmingham, Jackson, and Memphis, with the goal of registering 100,000 voters. The initiative aims to protest the 2026 Supreme Court ruling (Louisiana v. Callais) that weakened the Voting Rights Act by mobilizing grassroots support and ballot access drives at churches and college campuses across the Deep South. The march concludes at the National Civil Rights Museum in Memphis. You can find the full route, sign up to walk a leg of the journey, or register to volunteer on the 1,000 Miles to Memphis website. You can also support their efforts via the Just Win Humanity [https://www.instagram.com/p/DavqAExCAcQ/] fundraising initiative. This is a public episode.
