Another Testament of Jesus Christ Podcast
Podcast door Erin Sheree Campbell
What an adventure we have ahead of us. Together we will read one of the most popular books on the planet. The Book of Mormon, Another Testament of Jesus Christ. I am Native American, from the Yakima, Tulalip, and Lumbee Tribes. I feel such a strong connection to these words as a direct descendant of its Authors. I have linked legends with scripture and I can't wait to share my Native American Perspective with you. Each chapter will have my own thoughts and opinions, and along the journey we will invite others to share what they have learned as well. You are sure to learn, grow, and feel inspired, as we search, study and ponder these sacred scriptures together.

In this episode, we’ll dive into Mosiah chapter 29 from the Book of Mormon, where we explore a major shift in Nephite government—from kings to judges—and what it teaches us about righteous leadership, personal accountability, and the power of agency. We’ll discuss how the people recognized the selfless service of King Mosiah, how this chapter parallels principles of democracy and freedom we value today, and why this message is especially meaningful during 4th of July celebrations. We’ll also reflect on how spiritual freedom and God’s plan of agency allow us to truly come to know Him. At the end of the episode, I’ll share my daughter Tacoma’s missionary farewell talk titled “Here Am I, Send Me”—a powerful testimony about answering God’s call, preparing for a mission, and choosing to serve with faith. Happy 4th of July Everyone

In this episode we will explore the Sons of Mosiah’s bold decision to preach to the Lamanites—a daunting task that involves overcoming generations of hatred and trauma. We also uncover the fascinating story of Mosiah translating the Jaredite plates using the Urim and Thummim, a sacred instrument with divine origins. Stick around until the end, where I will be interviewing my good friend Abraham Thomas who is Tongan and Oglala/Lakota Native American. Hope you enjoy our discussion on cultural connections, trials and the gospel."

In this episode, we explore the dramatic transformation of Alma the Younger and the sons of Mosiah after their rebellion against the Church. A powerful visit from an angel, accompanied by the shaking earth and a thunderous voice, turns Alma's life upside down, rendering him unable to speak or move. This chapter marks a pivotal moment in Alma’s repentance and highlights his newfound mission to spread the gospel. After the chapter, I'll be interviewing my husband, Aaron Campbell, and talking about a very personal and sacred experience for us. Aaron's battle with Guillain-Barré Syndrome—a condition that, much like Alma's experience, left him temporarily paralyzed and unable to move. His story offers some pretty profound parallels. Through this lens, we’ll examine both Alma’s miraculous recovery and the spiritual insights we gained during our own extremely difficult trial.

In this episode, we dive into Mosiah chapter 26 and uncover the challenges faced by Alma as he deals with a generation that has turned away from their faith. We'll explore the gripping story of how Alma seeks divine guidance to handle this crisis and the dramatic consequences that follow. What will happen to those who refuse to repent, and how will Alma's actions shape the future of the Church? Tune in to find out.

In this chapter, we witness the powerful union of the Nephites and the people of Zarahemla, led by King Mosiah. Alma's incredible missionary work continues as he baptizes Limhi and his people.
