Welcome in as we complete the fourth theme of the Beatitudes, which focuses on our attitude toward the world. As we move through this final teaching, we begin to see that it doesn’t stand alone—it ties everything together. It brings all the previous themes into clear focus and helps us understand what our response should be as children of God.

Sola Scriptura Explained Simply

Sola Scriptura ("Scripture alone") is a foundational doctrine of Protestant theology, asserting that the Bible is the supreme and sufficient authority for Christian faith and practice. This principle emerged during the Reformation as a direct challenge to the Catholic Church's assertion that both Scripture and Sacred Tradition carry equal interpretive authority. Matthew 5:13-16 Bible Study

As we gather back together this week, we will continue our study of the Sermon on the Mount. In this time, we’ll build on what we’ve already learned and press deeper into Jesus’ teaching—especially the ways it shapes our attitudes, our relationships, and our daily choices. We live in a world that can often feel dark, cold, and increasingly uncertain, but the Sermon on the Mount reminds us that our faith is not meant to stay private or passive. Instead, it calls us to live with purpose and hope, to let God’s values guide how we respond to people, how we speak, and how we pursue righteousness even when it’s difficult. My prayer is that as we study God’s Word together, we will be encouraged, strengthened, and equipped to carry the message of the Kingdom into our everyday lives.
