The Whisper in the Wilderness | Part (2) | Pastor Luis Burgos

Voices in the Wilderness | Week 2 : The Whisper in the Wilderness In this powerful message, we dive into 1 Kings 19 and the story of Elijah, a prophet who witnessed fire from heaven and a flood from God, yet was driven into despair by the words of one woman. God meets him in the wilderness and speaks not through the spectacular, but through a still small whisper.Main Scripture:1 Kings 19:1-18 (ESV)Psalm 46:10 — "Be still, and know that I am God."--- 3 Key Points:1.The message of the enemy drove Elijah into despair, but the message of the Lord directed Elijah toward his destiny.Elijah had just seen God send fire from heaven and flood the earth, yet one message from Jezebel sent him running. The message you receive determines the life you will lead. The enemy's message PRODUCES despair. God's message PROVIDES direction.- Panic → Purpose- Confusion → Clarity- Weariness → Wisdom- Exhaustion → Encounter- Isolation → Instruction- Brokenness → Blueprint2. The destination of the wilderness is for the restoration of the weary.God led Elijah to Horeb, the same mountain where Moses encountered God at the burning bush. The wilderness is not for your destruction, it is for your destiny. God uses trials and seasons of testing to strengthen you and remove the weariness from your spirit."Arise and eat, for the journey is too great for you." — 1 Kings 19:73. The spectacle displayed God's power, but the whisper delivered God's purpose. The Lord was not in the wind. The Lord was not in the earthquake. The Lord was not in the fire. He was in the whisper. Elijah didn't need another spectacle — he needed direction. The assignment was found in the whisper."And after the fire the sound of a low whisper." — 1 Kings 19:12--- Key Takeaways:- Anybody can stand on Carmel and watch fire fall. Only those who draw near can hear the whisper.- The wilderness removes distractions, silences competing voices, and creates an environment where the voice of God becomes clearer.- The fire awed the nation. But the whisper changed the prophet.- God is not asking you to chase the spectacular. He is inviting you to draw near enough to hear His whisper.#Sermon #BibleStudy #VoicesInTheWilderness #1Kings19 #Elijah #Jezebel #Whisper #Faith #Christian #Church #Wilderness #HolySpirit #BibleMessage

The Wonder in the Wilderness | Voices in the Wilderness

Voices in the Wilderness | Week 1: The Wonder in the WildernessWhat if the very wilderness season you're walking through is where God is preparing you for His greatest purpose? In Week 1 of our new series, Voices in the Wilderness, we explore the powerful encounter between Moses and the burning bush in Exodus 3. Through this familiar story, we discover that God often speaks most clearly in seasons of difficulty, transition, and uncertainty. The burning bush was more than a miracle, it was a wonder that caused Moses to stop, turn aside, and move toward God. In the same way, God uses the wonders of His presence to awaken us to His calling and purpose.3 Main Points: 1. The Wonders of God Cause Us to Move in the Direction of GodMoses turned aside to see the burning bush before God spoke.God often meets us when we respond to His promptings and pursue His presence. The wonders of God call us out of complacency and into movement.Key Scripture: Exodus 3:3-4 2. The Wonders of God Often Reveal the Reason for Our Wilderness SeasonMoses' forty years as a shepherd were not wasted years. The wilderness was God's training ground for Moses' future assignment.God uses difficult seasons to prepare us for greater purposes.Key Scriptures: Exodus 3:7-10; Romans 8:28 3. The Wonder Reveals That Every Call Is Connected to a Cry and Commissioned for a Cause- God called Moses because He heard the cries of His people.- Every genuine calling is rooted in God's compassion for others.- Our calling is never about personal glory but advancing God's Kingdom.Key Scriptures: Exodus 3:7-10; Isaiah 6:8 Key Takeaway:The wilderness is not evidence that God has forgotten you. It may be the very place where He is preparing, shaping, and calling you into His divine purpose. Pay attention to the wonders of God—they may be inviting you into your next season of obedience. Reflection Question: What has God called me to do for Him in this world? This Week's Challenge:- Pray intentionally every day.- Fast and seek the Lord.- Discern the wonders and promptings of God around you.- Move toward what God is stirring in your heart.#VoicesInTheWilderness #TheWonderInTheWilderness #Exodus3 #BurningBush #Moses #ChristianSermon #Faith #Calling #Purpose #Prayer #Revival #HolySpirit #ChurchSermon #BibleTeaching

Believe it or Not | This is Good News | Pastor Luis Burgos

In this powerful message, we continue our series “This Is Good News,” focusing on the Gospel of Jesus Christ and its impact on both unbelievers and believers. For 6 weeks, we’ve been unpacking the truth of the Gospel—and today we are reminded that everyone is called to respond to it.The Gospel is not only the hope for salvation for those who don’t know God, but also a daily reminder for those who already believe: we are saved by faith, not by works.Romans 10:5–10 (ESV) declares that salvation is near—found in our hearts and on our lips. If we confess Jesus as Lord and believe that God raised Him from the dead, we will be saved. This message breaks down three powerful truths:1) Believe it or Not, only Jesus Justifies.2) Believe it or not, the Gospel is about believing not achieving.3) It’s Not Enough to Believe He Lived, You Must Believe He is Lordand He Rose. This message challenges us to consider the simplicity and power of the Gospel. Salvation is not achieved—it is believed and received.“If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” — Romans 10:9This is the dividing line. This is the Gospel. This is Good News.Don’t forget to like, share, and subscribe for more messages from this series.

Full Hands, Empty Heart | Pastor Luis Burgos

We’ve been in our series “This Is Good News” for the past three weeks, and this message marks Part 4. In this series, we are declaring the life-changing truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. For those far from God, this is a call to a real encounter and salvation. For believers, it’s a reminder of the power of the Gospel and our calling to continually share it.Last week, Evangelist Josh brought a powerful message from Luke 4, where we heard the Gospel clearly. We encourage you to remain prayerful for those you’re believing God to reach and intentional about inviting them into the house of the Lord.Key Scripture Luke 19:1-10 (ESV)Sermon Points1. The way of the world fills your hands, but leaves your heart empty.2. God is drawn to humility.3. Our seeking is a response to His seeking. In this message, we look at the story of Zacchaeus—a man who had everything the world could offer, yet still found himself searching. His encounter with Jesus reveals a powerful truth: you can have full hands and still have an empty heart. This message is both an invitation and a reminder—Jesus came to seek and to save the lost. And sometimes, what we think is us searching for Him is actually Him pursuing us first. If this message blessed you, don’t forget to like, share, and subscribe—and invite someone to experience the Good News with you.
