The grace and love of God are the foundation of the Christian life. Yet, many of us live as if we can lose that grace and love. Paul reminds Titus that the foundation of who we become is the grace of God.

Becoming A Person Worth Following

All of us are leaders and influencers, whether we realize it or not. Paul lays out what a person who follows Jesus is to be and what character they are to have. This list is often consulted by church leaders, which is an appropriate application. But we don’t have a separate list for other followers of Jesus. So this is Paul’s teaching on who a follower of Jesus is to become.  This week's passage is Titus 1:5-16 (CSB).

How We See God Determines Who We Become

Paul starts his letter to Titus with the foundation of the gospel. It is the saving grace of Jesus that makes us who we are as followers of Jesus and shapes all that we become. How we see God shapes what we believe and who we become.  This week's passage is Titus 1:1-4 (NIV).
