The way we were taught how to stretch is wrong. Discover the best way to stretch stiff muscles. DATA: https://www.amazon.com/Whartons-Stretch-Book-Breakthrough-Active-Isolated-ebook/dp/B07T51QSB5 ▶️ https://youtu.be/R1gk_tHVxn4 0:00 Introduction: What to do for stiff muscles 0:10 The worst way to stretch 0:50 Understanding tight muscles and stretching 2:00 The correct way to stretch 5:10 Learn more about exercise! Let’s talk about how to relieve muscle stiffness and increase your range of motion. Many of us have been taught to stretch by holding a position for 30 to 60 seconds—this is called static stretching. But this is the worst way to stretch your muscles. Tight muscles are weaker and are more susceptible to injury and inflammation. When you stretch incorrectly, you can easily strain or pull a muscle. Motion is all about the coordination of contraction and relaxation of the muscles. One of the best ways to stretch is a method from a book called The Whartons’ Complete Strength Book, and it’s called Active Isolated Flexibility. How to stretch correctly (using Active Isolated Flexibility): 1. Identify the muscle you want to stretch 2. Contract or tighten the opposite muscle as you stretch 3. Stretch to a comfortable limit and hold for two seconds and then relax Repeat this method of stretching eight to ten times per muscle. This would be a great warm-up before you exercise. You may also want to consider a version of this as part of the rehab process for a less severe injury. This ONE Misconception Causes 90% of Chronic Disease

What causes chronic diseases? In this video, we’re going to talk about the biggest chronic disease risk factor contributing to over 90% of chronic diseases. Learn more about the connection between chronic disease and diet, glucose metabolism, and insulin resistance in this short video. Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) [https://open.spotify.com/episode/4oKZ046rIAE3zwxDb06ZaO] 0:00 Introduction: The #1 cause of chronic disease 0:12 The lie about glucose 0:44 Blood sugar levels after sugar consumption 1:59 The root cause of chronic disease 2:24 Insulin resistance and the dangers of sugar 3:45 Are carbohydrates necessary? 4:01 How to reverse insulin resistance Learn how to do Healthy Keto® the right way with this FREE guide: https://drbrg.co/449XnTz Keto is easier than you think. Use these tips to stay on track: https://drbrg.co/3SOE4sx Learn more about the dangers of sugar here: https://drbrg.co/4n0nxzo Over 90% of chronic disease stems from one lie taught to doctors, dieticians, nutritionists, and personal trainers worldwide. Glucose is the body’s preferred energy source! If glucose is so good for you, why does your body do everything it can to eliminate it from your blood? The average thin person has about 100,000 calories of stored fat and only 1,700 calories of glucose. When you consume sugar, it’s removed from the blood very quickly, and the excess sugar is converted into fat. The body requires a small amount of glucose, but your body can make this small amount. The single root cause of chronic disease is high glucose! Blood sugar spikes create inflammation on the inside of the arteries, leading to chronically high insulin levels to remove the sugar. The body compensates with insulin resistance to slow down the glucose that enters the cells. Early symptoms of insulin resistance include: •Frequent urination at night •Brain fog •Loss of memory •Belly fat •Visual problems •Mood issues •Anxiety •Depression •Excessive hunger/cravings •Heart palpitations •Fluid retention in ankles and feet •Sleep apnea These initial symptoms can ultimately lead to diabetes, dementia, cataracts, glaucoma, and macular degeneration. People are not taught about the dangers of sugar and carbohydrates. In fact, most people aren’t worried about their high-carbohydrate diet because the food pyramid tells us that we should consume 65% of our calories from carbohydrates. This is a lie! A low-carb diet of less than 30 grams of carbs per day is one of the best things you can do to improve your health. One study showed a 90% success rate of ceasing insulin use in 10 weeks on a low-carb diet! The food industry has created the lie that glucose is the preferred fuel because you can profit the most from refined carbohydrates! Many people deal with pain and soreness behind their eyes. Today we’re going to talk about what’s really behind certain eye problems like eye soreness, sensitivity to light, eye strain, or watery eyes. In many cases, these problems with the eyes are caused by the hypersensitivity of a nerve behind the eyes. But that’s only the tip of the iceberg. If you’ve had chicken pox, you have a higher risk of getting shingles later in life. But, before you get shingles, your body may give you certain warning signs of shingles. One of these warning signs is pain behind the eyes and other eye problems. This is because the dormant virus hides in the sensory nerves and waits for the perfect opportunity to come out. The top triggers of shingles: 1. Cold weather 2. Weather changes (pressure) 3. Stress 4. Vitamin D deficiency 5. Zinc deficiency It’s key to focus on prevention and keeping your immune system strong by doing certain things, including: • Getting plenty of sleep • Exercising regularly • Lowering your stress • Consuming a healthy diet (Healthy Keto®) Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio: Dr. Berg, age 57, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting. Let's talk about the symptoms of vitamin C deficiency you may have never heard of before. Commonly known vitamin C deficiency symptoms: • Bleeding gums • Fatigue • Loss of collagen • Lowered immune system • Increased risk of biofilms Vitamins are cofactors that work with enzymes. Without vitamins and certain minerals, important enzymes in the body can't work. When you're deficient in vitamin C your body will allocate the vitamin C you have to the essential enzymes, but not all of them. A complete lack of vitamin C is fatal. Lesser-known symptoms of vitamin C deficiency: • Hypochondria • Depression • Perifollicular hyperkeratosis • Anemia • Dry hair • Inflamed veins • Shortness of breath • Problems with adrenaline The best sources of vitamin C are fruits and vegetables. Juice, like apple juice, is not a good source of vitamin C. Juice has too much sugar and is pasteurized, which destroys natural vitamin C. Foods rich in vitamin C: • Berries • Peppers • Sauerkraut • Leafy greens Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio: Dr. Berg, age 57, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting.
