He grew up poor, lived in a van, dropped out of school at 15, and worked as a janitor to help his family. That persistence led to In Living Color, followed by breakout roles in Ace Ventura, The Mask, and Dumb and Dumber. Years earlier, he had written himself a $10 million check, and in 1995, he earned exactly that. His journey proves that belief, persistence, and daily effort compound over time. ✎ That lesson goes even further with Walt Disney. He was fired for lacking creativity, went bankrupt with his first company, lost the rights to his early characters, and was rejected more than 300 times while trying to fund Disneyland. With just $40, he moved to Hollywood, created Mickey Mouse, risked everything on Snow White, and kept going despite massive setbacks. In 1903 at Kitty Hawk, the Wright brothers flew the first powered airplane while Langley quit. The lesson is simple: belief and mission beat money and resources every time. ✎ Then I open up about my own journey at 19 years old, making only $300 a month, feeling embarrassed, and almost quitting my first business. I explain how studying Bill Gates and learning the power of partnerships led to my first $13,500 deal and changed everything for me. I also reference lessons from leaders like Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos to show how purpose drives long-term success.
