Send us Fan Mail [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2605799/fan_mail/new] Today we are studying Acts Chapter 8. In this chapter, persecution begins to scatter the church, but instead of stopping the gospel, it causes it to spread. Philip goes to Samaria and proclaims Christ, many believe, and lives are transformed. We also see the story of Simon the sorcerer, who reveals the danger of false faith. Then Philip is led by the Spirit to share the gospel with an Ethiopian official, showing that salvation is for all people. Acts 8:4 says, “So those who were scattered went on their way preaching the word.” This chapter reminds us that God can use even difficult circumstances to accomplish His purpose. Acts Chapter 17 - Reasoning from Scripture: Seeking the God Who Is Near

Send us Fan Mail [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2605799/fan_mail/new] Today we are studying Acts Chapter 17. In this chapter, Paul continues his missionary journey through Thessalonica, Berea, and Athens. He reasons from the Scriptures, explaining that the Messiah had to suffer and rise from the dead, and many believe. In Berea, the people receive the message eagerly and examine the Scriptures daily to see if what Paul said is true. Later, in Athens, Paul speaks to people surrounded by idols and points them to the one true God who made the world and gives life to all. Acts 17:27 says, “He did this so they might seek God, and perhaps they might reach out and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us.” This chapter reminds us that God’s truth can be examined, His gospel must be proclaimed, and He is near to those who seek Him.  Support the show [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2605799/support] We’re so grateful you chose to spend this time with us in God’s Word today. Acts Chapter 16 - Guided by God: Open Doors, Open Hearts, and Midnight Praise

Send us Fan Mail [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2605799/fan_mail/new] Today we are studying Acts Chapter 16. In this chapter, we see Paul begin another missionary journey with Silas, and we are introduced to Timothy. We see the Holy Spirit guiding their steps, closing some doors and opening others. Paul receives a vision calling him to Macedonia, where the gospel reaches Lydia, whose heart the Lord opens to believe. Later, Paul and Silas are beaten and thrown into prison, but instead of despairing, they pray and sing hymns to God at midnight. Acts 16:25–26 says, “About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them. Suddenly there was such a violent earthquake that the foundations of the jail were shaken, and immediately all the doors were opened, and everyone’s chains came loose.” This chapter reminds us that God guides His people, opens hearts, and brings freedom even in dark places. Acts Chapter 15 - Grace Confirmed: Unity, Wisdom, and the Gospel

Send us Fan Mail [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2605799/fan_mail/new] Today we are studying Acts Chapter 15. In this chapter, a major question rises in the early church: must Gentile believers follow the law of Moses in order to be saved? Paul and Barnabas strongly oppose this burden being placed on new believers, and the apostles and elders gather in Jerusalem to seek wisdom and direction. Peter reminds them that God gave the Holy Spirit to the Gentiles by faith, and that salvation comes through the grace of the Lord Jesus. Acts 15:11 says, “On the contrary, we believe we are saved through the grace of the Lord Jesus in the same way they are.” This chapter reminds us that salvation is by grace, the church must seek unity in truth, and believers should avoid placing unnecessary burdens on others. Acts Chapter 14 - Strengthened in the Faith: Endurance Through Opposition

Send us Fan Mail [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2605799/fan_mail/new] Today we are studying Acts Chapter 14. In this chapter, Paul and Barnabas continue preaching the gospel with boldness, even while facing rejection, division, persecution, and danger. In Iconium, many believe, but others stir up opposition. In Lystra, God heals a man who had never walked, but the people misunderstand and try to worship Paul and Barnabas as gods. Later, Paul is stoned and left for dead, yet he rises and continues the mission. Acts 14:22 says, “Strengthening the disciples by encouraging them to continue in the faith and by telling them, ‘It is necessary to pass through many troubles on our way into the kingdom of God.’” This chapter reminds us that following Christ may bring hardship, but God strengthens His people to endure. Acts Chapter 13 - Sent by the Spirit: Salvation for All

Send us Fan Mail [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2605799/fan_mail/new] Today we are studying Acts Chapter 13. In this chapter, we see the beginning of Paul’s first missionary journey as the Holy Spirit sets apart Paul and Barnabas for the work God has called them to do. They are sent out to proclaim the gospel, and as they travel, we see both acceptance and opposition. Paul boldly preaches in the synagogue, declaring that Jesus is the promised Savior. While many receive the message with joy, others reject it, leading Paul to turn to the Gentiles. Acts 13:47 says, “For this is what the Lord has commanded us: I have made you a light for the Gentiles to bring salvation to the ends of the earth.” This chapter reminds us that the gospel is for everyone and that God calls His people to go and share His truth boldly.
