Morning Mantra: "I don't need everyone to understand my path.  I just need them to stop standing in it." People generally have good intentions when they give you unsolicited advice.  They think they know more than you and are trying to help you avoid failure.  I call these people Dreamshitters. No one knows what you know, what you think, what you are capable of- except you.  If you allow them to influence you then YOU are the one making a choice to quit.  You are the one standing in your path. Sometimes the Universe sends these people or other obstacles to see how much you really want something- not to discourage or warn you. So, don't let someone that doesn't understand the dream convince you it's too big or unattainable.  It doesn't matter what they think- it only matters what you think. Do It Now

Morning Mantra: "One day you will wake up and there won't be any more time to do the things you've always wanted. Do it now." It’s a terrible thing in life to wait to do something on your bucket list until you think you’re ready. I have this feeling now that actually no one is ever really ready.  There’s almost no such thing as ready. There is only now. And you may as well do it now. Generally speaking, now is as good a time as any. Too many people go through life waiting for things to happen instead of making them happen.  But action creates motivation. Action creates a plan. Time is a valuable commodity and it waits for no one. So start.  Just start. Begin by thinking, what can you do today to improve the chances?  Is it more money? More time? Overcoming fear? Whatever it is, start today in overcoming it. Finding Your Rhythm

Life is like a dance, and you are the choreographer.  You don’t know the steps until you learn them because in life, you learn as you go.  Sometimes you lead, sometimes you follow. No Embarrassment Allowed

Morning Mantra: "You can spend your whole life avoiding embarrassment and accidentally avoid joy too." Embarrassment is caused by putting far too much thought into what other people think very little about. It’s better to not care what people think and live life to the fullest rather than missing out and being someone you aren’t.  Because sometimes embarrassment is the cost of entry to an amazing adventure. The people actually enjoying life are allowing themselves to be excited, emotional, passionate, invested in joy. Existing like you’re too cool to care about anything is such a dull way to experience being alive. Sometimes the greatest things about life are the most embarrassing! They offer things that no other moment can.  And many times we look back and realize that those moments were the funniest, most exciting, most joy – filled moments in our lives. So stop overthinking it and wear the bathing suit to the beach and swim with your kids or grandkids, dance even when people are watching, play the game at the party, try something new!  Hopefully you will realize how rarely people actually care about what you do. Toxic Positivity

Morning Mantra: "Never tell a person to be strong when they come to you to be weak." I know I talk a lot on here about being positive.  But there is a phenomenon called toxic positivity that we should all be aware of. Toxic positivity is a process which results in denial, minimization, and invalidation of the authentic human emotional experience. Toxic positivity is a forced, false positivity. So when you or someone share something difficult, it insists that you turn it into something positive.  Which ultimately should be our goal, except we need to feel our emotions, process the experience, and find our way to a better place authentically. If someone comes to you in their weakest state, let’s say from grief, and you encourage them to be strong instead of allowing them to experience the grief, what you’re basically saying to them is your comfort is more important than their reality. There’s a difference between being truly happy and pretending everything‘s fine when it’s not.
