The standard of external moral purity is so high in some places that when things happen in life, they are overcome with guilt and shame and never go back again to church or they give up on their faith, or they stop praying because they believe they committed the unforgivable sin and God has rejected them.

But Christianity is a relationship with God, and not a ritual. It is knowing God and growing in our knowledge of God. Christians are called to follow Jesus.
