Ep. 2 of Music + Theology - "A Hymn" by Khruangbin w/ Tim Garcia

We put out the call last week during the Gospel According to the Avett Brothers at the Skillman Church of Christ to share with the rest of the class other songs that connect at the spiritual level.  I was blown away when Tim Garcia sent a song by the band Khruangbin (which means airplane in Thai 😁) named A Hymn with NO lyrics.  It all made sense when I heard the song.  Take some time to listen to this great song and to Tim's thoughts on this great piece of art.  Here is the YouTube video link to the song. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q8ODc8z_nDA [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q8ODc8z_nDA] Let's do our part to support these great artists...check out their videos, listen on Spotify, share with a friend, and/or visit the band when the roll into Dallas.

Ep. 1 of Music + Theology - "Brokedown Palace" Cover by Shinyribs w/ Grant Williams

We've entered into a new season at the Skillman Church of Christ where we are offering a set of new, exciting, engaging classes during the Sunday Bible hour.  One of the classes is the Gospel According to the Avett Brothers led by Lee Branch.  We put the call in the class to send in and submit songs that they resonate with or that move them in the ways of spirituality.  In this podcast, Grant Williams talks about the Grateful Dead song, "Brokedown Palace." He is particularly fond of the cover down by the Shinyribs.  Listen to the song and to Grant's thoughts about this incredible piece of music.  Click below for the link to the YouTube video and support these artists anyway you can through the watching of their content or visiting them in concert next time they are in your area.  Peace, love and enjoy the music. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eoKRfr_DhGA
