Macca and Kenny are joined live in the studio by Joyster, award winning Australian film critic and writer Glenn Charlie Dunks as they discuss Stephen Spielberg’s latest film, ‘Disclosure Day’. Glenn Charlie Dunks is an award-winning Australian film critic and writer based between Melbourne and New York. Known for his two Australian Film Critics Association (AFCA) Awards, he specializes in documentary film and Australian cinema, regularly appearing on JOY 94.9 radio and contributing to top-tier publications. For ten years, Glenn has been an active part of the Australian film scene as a critic and journalist. Getting his start with the Geelong/Surf Coast-based street press Forte Magazine, he progressed to writing regularly for Trespass and Onya Magazine as well as his personal blog. In 2010, Glenn began writing film reviews and features for Australian print institution The Big Issue. In the following decade, he has contributed to world-renowned publications such as The Guardian, Vanity Fair and The Film Experience where he covers documentary film on a weekly basis. In Australia, his work has been published across outlets including Metro Magazine, ScreenHub, Flicks Australia, Junkee, SBS Film, SBS Sexuality, Broadsheet, Quickflix, Concrete Playground and the online edition of Overland Journal. He is also the regular film critic for Air Nuigini’s Paradise Magazine. Sat, 20th, June, 2026: Sanmati Verma, Legal Director – Principal Lawyer Accredited Specialist – Immigration Law -Human Rights Law

Sanmati Verma is a highly prominent human rights advocate and attorney who serves as the Legal Director of the Migration Justice team at the Human Rights Law Centre [https://www.hrlc.org.au/people/sanmati-verma/]. Based in Melbourne, Australia, she is an accredited specialist in immigration law certified by the Law Institute of Victoria (LIV) and has spent more than a decade litigating complex migration and human rights matters Sanmati joined the Human Rights Law Centre in 2022 to lead the Centre’s Migration Justice team. She holds specialist accreditation from the Law Institute of Victoria in immigration law and has practiced exclusively in the field for over a decade. Before joining the Centre, Sanmati was a partner at Clothier Anderson, a specialist immigration firm in Melbourne, where she led a significant pro bono practice and litigated several leading cases relating to immigration detention, visa cancellation and ‘character’ powers. She has previously worked with the Legal Aid Society NYC, Victoria Legal Aid, and the Western Suburbs Legal Service, where she co-founded the International Student Legal Advice Clinic in 2010. In 2023, Sanmati received an inaugural Community Engagement Grant from the Melbourne Social Equity Institute at the University of Melbourne, to complete a community-led study of the visa cancellation regime. In addition to her work at the Centre, Sanmati is an advisor to the United Workers Union, co-chair of the Visa Cancellations Working Group, and serves on the board of the Migrant Workers Centre. Her work has been recognised through the Law Institute of Victoria’s Emerging Lawyer Award (2016) and Paul Baker Award for Administrative Law (2024). She was also conferred with the John Gibson Award for Refugee Law by the International Commission of Jurists (Victoria) (2023). Sanmati holds a Bachelor of Arts, a Bachelor of Laws (Hons), and a Master of Public and International Law (Hons I) from the University of Melbourne. Karina Lester, is the Aboriginal Co-Manager and Senior Aboriginal Language Expert at The University of Adelaide’s Mobile Language Team (MLT) [https://mobilelanguageteam.com.au/our-team/]. She is a Yankunytjatjara Anangu woman who grew up on the Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara (APY) Lands in the far north-west of South Australia. Growing up on the APY Lands in South Australia, she is a prominent voice in language revitalization, anti-nuclear advocacy, and cultural preservation. She is a second-generation survivor of the 1953 British Nuclear Tests at Emu Field. As the daughter of the late, renowned Indigenous activist Yami Lester—who was blinded by the nuclear fallout—she frequently speaks on global platforms (including addressing UN Treaty Negotiations in New York) regarding the intergenerational health and environmental impacts felt by her people.
