Some Noise

Uproar Theatre present a selection of new radio plays in an innovative format. At the beginning of lockdown, submissions for 15 minute radio plays exclusively from writers based in the East of England were called for, and the callout was featured on BBC Writersroom. Alongside award-winning, Norfolk-based playwright James McDermott (Time and Tide, Rubber Ring), Uproar whittled these scripts down to a mere twelve. The company then spent time developing the work with the shortlisted writers, through personal feedback and a skills workshop, selecting a final six plays to produce.From the inside of a teenage mind, to the old woman with too many cats, Uproar Theatre is shaking radio up! A fantastic selection of plays, Some Noise is for the new generation of listeners.
