This series definitely reinvented the vampire sub-genre of horror; it’s a superb drama, fantasy, horror series by Guillermo del Toro and Chuck Hogan. I loved its adamant vibe and atmosphere, its gruesome screenplay, its outstanding expansion and acting. One of the few series that truly combines science fiction and horror with a hell of a cast. It was an absolute pleasure to sit down and speak to Nikolai about his role as Ansel as he described from his point of view what it was like to act as a Strigoi in this riveting and thrilling series. I love how we get to witness his character slowly decline into the madness and watching the transformation process after one is infected. Every little detail he described is pure gold and that is me being honest; I mean, this show has grasped the essence of not being a traditional vampire story, but more into the deep history and lore of a different type of “vampire” I must admit that I love this version better. The Strain is STILL streaming on Hulu and I am certainly glad that it is… I cannot get enough of this show as I am about to watch the entire series again for the tenth time

Mindhunter is an absolutely riveting, addicting, and intellectually gripping series that redefines the crime drama genre. From the very first episode, it plunges you into a hauntingly realistic portrayal of the early days of criminal profiling at the FBI. The attention to detail, the slow-burn narrative, and the disturbingly accurate depictions of real-life serial killers make it one of the most intense and thought-provoking shows I’ve ever watched. What a phenomenal interview! Getting to know the details about his role as Jerry Brudos and the show, that kind of insight is priceless! As season one of the show progressed, so did the characters while discussing their crimes. Happy Anderson portraying Jerry Brudos is still one of my favorite sequences not only because of the nature of the sequence but the scenes are kind of light-hearted and comical. If you have not watched this show, please do… I highly recommend this series for nay true crime buff out there. With a 97% score on Rotten Tomatoes, that kind of tells you something. It’s still streaming on Netflix!

Demons, written and produced by the legendary Dario Argento comes a cult classic from the 1980s which has a badass soundtrack and it’s one of the most interesting and strange films of the era. It has cool visuals and a fun story that is easy to follow and all around, it’s a solid Italian horror film and I highly recommend it to anyone who loves the genre. The interview is a little spotty due to the poor internet connection with Bettina; she joined from her home in the Italian Countryside (which looks spectacular, by the way – and I am jealous) – but she had so much to say about the film, her role, and what it was like to work with the legendary Dario Argento.

The Conjuring returns in the fourth and final installment of the franchise and it feels like a natural continuation thanks to the return of Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga as Ed and Lorraine Warren. After watching the movie last night, in my opinion, the movie is terrifying, emotional, thrilling, pure horror magic and it’s a must-see epic conclusion. Rebecca and I went into a deep conversation about her role in the movie, some behind the scenes secrets, and what it was like to film a movie based on a true haunting. What she had to say about all of that is justly remarkable. The details given in this interview explain a lot about the haunting and what actually happened. Brace yourselves for a phenomenal interview with gifted and wonderful Rebecca Calder as she delivered one of these best roles in The Conjuring Universe. In my humble and honest opinion, the ‘Smurl Case’ is the darkest in the series because in the 1980s the whole country was on edge with everything going on: serial killers, more hauntings being reported across the United States, The Berlin Wall, and much more. Senses were heightened and spirits are drawn to that.

From what I have read on the internet thus far, Traumatika is an emotional horror story that focuses on generational terror. It is said that her performance is paramount while being relentless in the approach and it’s not for the faint of heart. Due to being released on the 12th of this month, I cannot wait to see it. For those that are going to see it in the theater when it’s released, expect to have some type of emotional response due to the nature of the film because it does touch on real life issues about trauma and abuse. She is also starring in a movie called “Swipe” which is in post-production.
