Connection with a Recovered Lady
This episode is all about the power of connection after stroke. I had the privilege of speaking with an incredible Caribbean woman who completely recovered after four years — proof that recovery can continue long after people think it should stop. She’s not a medical doctor, but she is a doctor in her field, and hearing her journey was genuinely inspiring. Her story is a reminder that stroke recovery is not one-size-fits-all, and that hope, determination, and the right support can make an enormous difference. One of the biggest takeaways from this conversation is just how important it is for survivors to connect with other survivors. Sometimes the people who truly understand the journey are the ones who’ve lived it themselves. If you’ve ever felt alone in recovery, this episode will remind you that healing, progress, and connection are still possible — even years later.

The invisible fight
In this episode of Stronger Than Stroke, we talk about the side of recovery people don’t see. When you “look fine” on the outside but are battling fatigue, brain fog, emotional changes, and overwhelm on the inside—this is the invisible fight so many stroke survivors face every day. This episode is about being understood, validating your experience, and learning how to navigate recovery when no one else can see what you’re going through.
