Meet Kraken, the giant Komodo dragon

Kraken is a Komodo dragon at the Australian Reptile Park, measuring nearly three metres long and weighing over 60 kilograms. The 14-year-old lizard has been extensively conditioned by handlers since he was small, allowing staff to walk him around the park and interact with him despite Komodo dragons being the world's largest lizard species. Komodo dragons possess unique features including metal-tipped teeth (shared only with pteropod dinosaurs), bone plate scales called osteoderms for protection, and the ability for females to reproduce parthenogenetically without males.
