“The Drive” is an iconic sports-talk radio show in Denver history featuring some of the most entertaining personalities to ever crack a microphone over the years. The current iteration of “The Drive” is hosted by Zach Bye, who brings years of radio experience and unmatched authenticity to the program each day. His partner, Phillip Lindsay, is the embodiment of our city. Phil grew up in Denver, starring at running back for Denver South High School. He went on to break records at the University of Colorado, before becoming a Pro Bowler with the Denver Broncos. Phil’s energy and enthusiasm matched with Zach’s passion and precision creates Denver’s can’t miss show on your drive home, 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. weekday afternoons!

In hour 2 of The Drive, Zach and Phil take a deep dive into tonight’s elimination game for the Avalanche. Zach shares the history of the Avalanche in series when trailing 3-2 and it’s not pretty. Will the Avs having their captain back in Gabe Landeskog be enough to push this series to a game 7 in Dallas? Will Jared Bednar be on the hot seat if the Avalanche cannot make it out of the first round of the playoffs? Will Avs owner Josh Kroenke pull the plug on the coach like he did with Michael Malone earlier this year? Today’s “Three Count” includes Christian Braun finishing 4th in the NBA’s most improved award, Anthony Edwards taking a victory lap in Los Angeles after eliminating Lebron James and the Lakers, and reaction to the scary scene in Pittsburgh of a fan falling off the outfield wall. We react to clips from the Pat McAfee show and Buster Olney praising Rockies fans for their attendance despite their record.

Did the Broncos take too many chances on picks or are they in a position to do so with a solidified roster? Do the Broncos have a chance to have the best corner back and offensive line room in the NFL? Zach asks if the shine is coming off of Deion Sanders and the Buffaloes after receiving push back on the jersey retirement of Shedeur Sanders and Shedeur sliding in the draft. Will Coach Prime still be able to recruit at the highest level? What are Phil’s win and loss expectations for the Buffs in the first year after Shedeur and Travis leave.

With the addition of rookie, RJ Harvey, does the Broncos running back room still need to add a veteran? Zach and Phil share who their pick would be for a veteran running back to split carries with Harvey. We are breaking down the Broncos newest draft class and today are analyzing the 6th round pick, Jeremy Crawshaw punter out of Florida. Zach has a personal note about seeing the punter live in person in Austin this past season. The guys both agree how important punting is and are fans of the selection by the Broncos.
