What if midlife isn't a decline, but the moment you finally get to design a life that's actually yours? In this episode of The Soulful Catalyst, I'm joined by Heather Lawson, Founder and Midlife Coach at The Wild Becoming. Drawing on nature as both metaphor and guide, Heather supports women navigating the turning points of midlife with honesty, self-trust, and a deep reconnection to what truly matters. Heather's clients arrive at different ages, some in their mid-thirties, some in their sixties, but what unites them is a moment of reckoning. A redundancy they didn't see coming, a relationship shifting, children growing up, menopause bringing an unexpected identity crisis, or simply that quiet, unsettling question: is this it? Heather creates a space where women can finally put down what they've been carrying and begin to hear themselves again. In her first sessions with a new client, she says she might only say three words. That kind of listening, she explains, is often the catalyst for everything that follows. What I found so compelling about Heather's story is that she's living the very journey she helps others through. After 34 years in corporate life, she left to start The Wild Becoming, retrained as a therapeutic coach, and then, in January of this year, received a breast cancer diagnosis. Rather than derail her, she describes it as a kind of deepening, something that has made her braver, more present with her clients, and more certain than ever that now is always the right time to start 😊. In this episode, we explore: ➤ Why midlife is a season, not a crisis, and how nature offers a different, more generous way to understand where you are ➤ What brings women to Heather's work, from unexpected redundancy and divorce to menopause-related identity shifts and that quiet sense that something has to change ➤ The power of being truly listened to, and why creating a safe space before anything else is the foundation of Heather's approach ➤ The results that become possible, from bold career changes and solo travel to the quieter, equally powerful shift of feeling at peace in your own skin This episode is for any woman who's at a turning point and wondering whether it's too late to want something different. It isn't. Gregg Vanourek: Life Quakes, Work Quakes, and Finding What's Next

What if the life you're chasing isn't out there somewhere, but waiting for you to come home to yourself? In this episode of The Soulful Catalyst, I'm joined by Gregg Vanourek, Author, TEDx Speaker, Teacher and Coach. Gregg is co-author of three books, including LIFE Entrepreneurs and the award-winning Triple Crown Leadership, and he teaches at Stockholm Business School. His work sits at the intersection of purpose, character and what it actually means to build a meaningful life. Gregg helps people craft their life and work intentionally, and to avoid what he calls the common traps of living, the things quietly holding us back from happiness and fulfilment. He talked about "life quakes" and "work quakes," those seismic moments, chosen or not, that force us to ask the question underneath everything else: what's next? What struck me most was how personal this work is for him. Gregg traced it back to a philosophy professor who taught him to ask the big questions, and a poet who asked what he wanted to do with his one wild and precious life. Those seeds, planted decades ago, became a career built on helping people get unstuck, find clarity and step into what he calls authentic alignment. We explore: ➤ Why "life quakes" and "work quakes" reshape everything, and how a trusted process helps you move through the uncertainty they bring ➤ The traps quietly keeping you stuck, and why naming the broken record is the first step to changing it ➤ What authentic alignment actually feels like, when who you are finally matches the life you're living ➤ The philosophy professor and poet who changed his path, and the big questions that still guide his work today This episode is for anyone who feels the gap between who they are and the life they're currently living, and is ready to come home to themselves. Edelmira Murrieta: The Next Right Step, Over and Over Again

What if the thing that broke you completely is also the thing that rebuilds you into who you're meant to be? In this episode of The Soulful Catalyst, I'm joined by Edelmira Murrieta, The Inner Wealth Mentor, helping high-performers, entrepreneurs and leaders create success that feels as good on the inside as it looks on the outside. Edelmira is a visionary entrepreneur, transformational coach and author whose journey of love, loss and self-reinvention became the foundation of her book, Starter Husband, and the beginning of a much deeper transformation. What I loved about this conversation is how firmly Edelmira rejects the pushy, salesy approach so many of us are tired of seeing. She talked about how people can feel your energy, feel when you're being truthful and genuinely want them to have results, rather than chasing the numbers for their own sake. It's authenticity as the strategy, not an afterthought to one. She also shared her own story of building a life that looked perfect from the outside and completely fell apart on the inside, including a period where her accounts were frozen and she had to decide whether to keep moving backwards or find her way back up. What followed wasn't a single leap, but a series of small, consistent right steps, paired with the mindset work to back them. We explore: ➤ Why authenticity is more magnetic than any sales tactic, and how people feel the difference between chasing money and genuinely serving ➤ The moment it all fell apart, and the mindset shift that helped her rebuild one right step at a time ➤ The client transformation that still gives her chills, a woman who could barely speak until she found her voice, quite literally This episode is for anyone who's ever played small because of what others might think, and is ready to take the next right step toward the life they actually want. Lara Caine: When You're Brilliant at Everything Except Letting Love In

What if the same energy that built your career is quietly blocking you from the relationship you actually want? In this episode of The Soulful Catalyst, I'm joined by Lara Lee Caine, The Love Coach, who helps successful women who have everything but the relationship to match attract their perfect partner. Standards raised, patterns rewired, love received. Lara brings something rare to this work. Nearly 30 years spent working one-to-one with women, first as a hairdresser and then through years of studying metaphysics, energetics, and spirituality, all of it woven together with formal coaching qualifications and a deeply intuitive approach. She describes her work as taking care of somebody's soul, and that's precisely how it feels listening to her. What struck me most is how Lara frames the pattern she sees so often: highly capable women who are deeply confident in their professional lives, but whose very competence, the doing, the driving, the independence they've built because no one else would, is the exact thing keeping them from attracting a partner who can lead, protect, and truly meet them. The work isn't about becoming less. It's about learning to receive 😊. In this episode, we explore: ➤ Why high-achieving women often attract the wrong dynamics, and what the masculine and feminine energy balance really has to do with it ➤ The fear underneath the patterns, and how dissolving that fear is where lasting change in love actually begins ➤ How to know when you're ready for this work, including Lara's beautiful insight that when you're truly ready, the right person is placed in front of you ➤ What shifts first for the women Lara works with, from stronger boundaries and self-trust, to an entirely different quality of person showing up in their lives This episode is for any woman who knows she's brilliant at building a life, and is ready to stop settling for a love life that doesn't match it. Sandra Sparrowhawk: Why the Colours You Wear Are Doing More Than You Think

What if the reason you're not being seen has nothing to do with your skills, and everything to do with the colours you're wearing? In this episode of The Soulful Catalyst, I'm joined by Sandra Sparrowhawk, Colour and Style Coach and founder of Colourworx, who helps women become the best version of themselves through the transformative power of colour and personal style. Sandra's approach goes deeper than most people expect. Trained not only in colour and style but also in colour therapy, she brings a spiritual dimension to what many might think of as a purely aesthetic service. She understands that colours carry energy, and that the ones you choose to wear every day are either feeding that energy or quietly depleting it. What I found so compelling in this conversation is Sandra's honesty about her own journey. She used to be, as she puts it, the lady in beige, someone who stayed invisible because she didn't want to stand out. That lived experience is at the heart of why her work goes well beyond telling clients which shades suit them best. It's about gently guiding women toward a more colourful outlook on life, and the confidence that comes with that. In this episode, we explore: ➤ Why black might be working against you, and what wearing colour-depleting shades could be signalling to the people around you ➤ The spiritual science of colour, and how colour therapy reveals why certain shades lift your energy while others quietly drain it ➤ How getting your colours right changes how others see you, including a remarkable story of a client who finally started getting promotions once she stopped blending in with the crowd ➤ The difference between knowing what suits you and truly owning it, and Sandra's practical tip for testing your new colours without any big wardrobe investment This episode is for any woman who's been playing it safe with her wardrobe and quietly wondering whether it's time to let herself be seen. Cheryl Fischer: The Hidden Habit That's Keeping You Stuck in Midlife

What if the thing keeping you stuck isn't your circumstances ...it's the conversation you're having with yourself every single day? In this episode of The Soulful Catalyst, I'm joined by Cheryl Fischer, Certified Life and Mindset Coach and host of the Mind Your Midlife podcast. Cheryl helps women in their 40s and 50s move out of quiet dissatisfaction and into greater confidence, purpose, and direction, whether that's launching a business, revitalising a relationship, or simply feeling like themselves again. Cheryl came to coaching through her own experience of it. She'd spent years in corporate, then retrained as a high school teacher, and eventually realised she was heading towards burnout and a future she didn't want. What changed everything for her was understanding the power of the thoughts running through her mind, and how much they were shaping the life she was living . What I found particularly compelling is the tool Cheryl now uses to start her coaching work, something called the Being Profile. Rather than diving straight into goals and action plans, she and her clients look first at how they're actually being in the world. Moods, patterns, levels of presence, courage, and connection. And almost every time, the results reveal something the client hadn't quite been able to name, but instantly recognises as true. It's a surprisingly powerful starting point. She also shares something that might feel a little uncomfortable at first. The habit of complaining, not the deep processing kind, but the ambient, automatic kind that fills so much of our daily conversation, is doing more harm than we realise. It's a habit most of us have, and it's worth a closer look 😌. In this episode, we explore: ➤ How the Being Profile works as a coaching starting point, and why understanding how you're being in the world matters more than setting goals before you've done that ➤ Why self-belief is the real engine of change, and how one client went from never speaking up in a room to leading a project, one small step at a time ➤ The complaining habit most of us don't even notice, and how changing the way we make conversation has a ripple effect on our relationships, our mindset, and how we see ourselves This episode is for anyone in their 40s or 50s who suspects the thing holding them back isn't a lack of skill or opportunity, but a story they've been telling themselves for a very long time.
