Beschrijving

This Sunday’s message continued our “Already Won” series, focusing on living in Christ’s victory over sickness. We explored the tension of the “already but not yet”—how Jesus has already conquered sin, death, and brokenness, yet we still experience illness and weakness in this life. Through 2 Corinthians 4, we were reminded that we are like “jars of clay,” fragile yet carrying the powerful treasure of Christ within us. Even in our brokenness, God’s strength is revealed. The message encouraged us to lean into our own struggles and the struggles of others, holding onto hope in Jesus now while looking forward to the day when He will fully restore all things.

A Perfect Father | Father's Day Message | Pastor Shea Takazono

This Father's Day, we go searching the Bible for great dads... and come up surprisingly short. Joseph disappears from the story. Abraham nearly sacrifices his son. Job loses everything. Even the most touching father figure in Scripture — the dad in the Prodigal Son — turns out to be a parable, not a real man. So what does that tell us? That every flawed, imperfect father points us toward a perfect one. In this message, we dig into the question so many of us silently carry: "Am I enough?" — and discover that the answer isn't found by looking within, but by understanding who God says we are as His sons and daughters. We'll talk about radical freedom, real belonging, and what it actually feels like to call God "Abba" — Dad. Plus, a personal story of financial stress, fear, and unexpected provision that reshaped one pastor's understanding of what it means to have a Father who says, "I got you."
