This week we dive into the challenge of finding balance when you are a twin parent, and, as you can guess, it’s not as Zen as you might want it to be. We talk about what balance looks like for us and our twins in the first half. Then we take a quick break for a cocktail refill (22:50), and in the second half of the episode we talk about how the equation gets more complicated when you factor in a third child alongside keeping your marriage healthy and your home clean(ish). Below you can see a few photos of our great family balancing act, ~C&T We cannot display this galleryThe post Episode 7 – “The Great Balancing Act” [https://thetwincast.com/episode-7-the-great-balancing-act/] appeared first on The Twincast [https://thetwincast.com].

This week in twin parenting adventures, we start by telling you that we almost didn’t make this episode because, well, twins make you tired. We spend a couple minutes nibbling on the challenges of the week before diving into the main course, a program we participated in with the twins this year called Roots of Empathy [http://www.rootsofempathy.org]. We spend the rest of the episode telling you what it was like to share our babies with a bunch of 4th graders every three weeks, and, spoiler alert, it was pretty awesome. As promised in the episode, here are a few photos of us in the ROE class with the babes and some of the letters the 4th graders wrote to Ada & Finn. Hope you enjoy! ~C&T We cannot display this galleryThe post Episode 6 – “Roots of Empathy” [https://thetwincast.com/episode-6-roots-of-empathy/] appeared first on The Twincast [https://thetwincast.com].

This week we give you a mini episode with an update on our lives with twins. We tell you about being out of our apartment, together after dark for the first time since the twins were born, and we tell you about all the new things the twins can do. As the season turns to summer, we also give you a libation update. Out with the gin sours, in with the margaritas. Bienvenidos to twin town. We will be back with a full episode next week. See ya then. C&T We cannot display this galleryThe post Memorial Day Mini Special [https://thetwincast.com/memorial-day-mini-special/] appeared first on The Twincast [https://thetwincast.com].

In this episode we tell you about traveling cross-country with six month old twins (plus one!). It was an adventure. There are a couple of tips and suggestions for traveling along the way, but mostly we just tell you how we survived. We start with a disclaimer and clarification about this week’s recording, then we get into the multi-part, 15-hour journey from NYC to the Central Coast of California. We spend some time on packing, getting through security, keeping infants happy on a long flight, navigating the rental car on the other end, and what happens when you take babies on a long car ride who aren’t used to the car. After a few really lovely days in the Golden State, we hit the road to home and do it all again. Like promised in the episode, below are a few photos from our trip. Happy Mother’s Day! This week we tell you our birth story for the twins. We talk about getting ready, how all of our preparation went unused, the great doctors we had, and the whole process of getting our little babes into the world. In the last 10 minutes of the episode we tell you each of our toughest and favorite parts of the birth. Along the way we give you a couple of musical snacks to celebrate moms. Here are a few photos from the crazy, wonderful day. We cannot display this galleryP.S. Happy Mother’s Day, mom!
