When we read stories about God performing miracles in the Bible, it can be easy to count those miracles as nostalgia. We start to believe that God doesn’t perform miracles today! But in today’s message, Pastor Ken reminds us that the best is yet to come! God’s power hasn’t diminished in the time since the Bible was written, and He hasn’t stopped intervening for those whom He loves! The Bible simply reminds us of what God is capable of and encourages us to get excited for what He will do next.

Sometimes, when we’re reading the Bible, we’ll come across a commandment that we don’t like, and say, “Oh, that passage doesn’t apply to me anymore!” However, Pastor Ken teaches us today that the guidelines outlined in God’s Word are just as relevant to us today as they were years ago. We aren’t just supposed to throw out the Old Testament once we have the New; we are meant to read them in conjunction, and understand from their pages how the Lord wants us to live for and serve Jesus.

If you’ve followed Jesus for a long time, you’ve probably noticed some people who are habitual evildoers. Not only are they openly living in sin, but they are harming others with their evil actions. Well, Pastor Ken teaches you today that God is aware of those who delight in their wickedness, and he reminds you that justice isn’t far away! When God judges the living and the dead, He will separate the good from the bad, casting out all of those who refused His gift of salvation. God will have the final word!

And in these last days, He is seeing people fall away from the path of righteousness just as fast as new people are coming to Him. Pastor Ken encourages you to persevere today, even as the world tries to pressure you away from serving God. It may be harder in the short term, but it will be more worth it in the long run!
