: President Cyril Ramaphosa says the Madlanga Commission serves as a necessary cleansing process for the country and the criminal justice system in particular. He was speaking to the SABC News on the side-lines of the launch of the Gauteng ANC voter registration campaign at Riversideview in Diepsloot, North of Johannesburg on Saturday. Ramaphosa received the commission's second interim report on Friday. The Madlanga Commission is investigating criminality, political interference and corruption in the criminal justice system. It is expected to finish its work at the end of August and submit its final report to the president. The president says he is still studying the interim report as our Politics Reporter Ntebo Mokobo reports followed by our Sunday discussion on the commencement of the Madlanga Commission tomorrow.
