Biophilia, simply put, is the love for life or living things. This can be seen anywhere you go, with the human tendency to interact with people and animals. But biophilia also accounts for interaction with plant life. Most of us don't know the countless benefits that plants, be it indoor or outdoor, bring to our health and well-being. Team ESTEEM's latest campaign aims to educate people about these benefits, and encourage everyone to get a plant of their own. In this episode, Sonia talks to planting designer Madihah Anaum and head of marketing Jairis Alvarez about this campaign, scheduled to launch this September.

Every home, office and building are the product of many concepts and ideas. This episode, we speak to Martin and Sonia about the vision and concepts behind the ESTEEM house. Martin explains why it's so important for students to consider sustainable architecture/design and how this has been incorporated in the ESTEEM house. We also learn some surprising tips about how to makeover your room as well as uncommon sources of inspiration, and how to incorporate these influences into your space!

Every source of energy comes with its own set of benefits and drawbacks. This episode, we speak to Marta about using primarily solar energy to power the ESTEEM house. Marta explains why it's so important for students to focus on renewable energy and get involved in projects like ours. We also learn some surprising facts about uncommon sources of energy, such as hydrogen energy and nuclear energy, and the complications that arise with switching to clean energy sources.

Often overlooked, but incredibly crucial parts of a project are marketing and securing sponsors. Apart from the design, these are what truly help make any project a reality.  In this episode, we speak with two of ESTEEM's Architectural engineering students, Scott Calder (former Head of Sponsorship and Finance) and Jairis Alvarez (Head of Marketing and Communications). They helped build the sponsorship and marketing teams from scratch and tell us how it helped them step out of their comfort zone.
