Watching Owen Wilson (WOW)
Podcast door Watr Coolr
The first and only podcast dedicated to rewatching Owen Wilson’s entire filmography! Join Jake Menez and Michael Teeter as they make their way through every role Owen Wilson has played in his career, counting the number of times he says “wow” and rating each film along the way—If they don’t get sidetracked first! Will they still love Owen Wilson at the end of this journey or will movies like Marmaduke prove to be too much? It’s anybody’s guess really.

This time on Watching Owen Wilson, Jake and Michael dive into the buddy comedy Shanghai Noon and are pleasantly surprised that it's less racist than they expected. Other topics include a brief tour of Jake's work area, Blockbuster video awards, and the German language. This is it, people. We're into the big movies now. This week on WOW, Jake and Michael watch Heat Vision and Jack, a failed FOX pilot starring Jack Black as an astronaut while Owen Wilson plays his sentient motorcycle as they combat supernatural forces. Michael calls Jake out on his Internet etiquette, Jake reveals why he never finished the Harry Potter series, and they invent a brand new condiment. It all made sense at the time.

We’re back with a new episode of Watching Owen Wilson! In this week’s episode we blow the dust off the guys’ review of the 1999 thriller The Minus Man, in which Owen Wilson plays a calculating murderer. Guitar stuff, snack talk, and basically anything else to avoid talking about a movie where nothing happens except for the Allstate Guy saying fuck. We promise this episode wasn’t worth the months long wait!

This episode is a day at the beach and a night on the town! Ben Stiller finally makes his first appearance on the podcast in this episode, folks. Not in person; he’s just in the movie. Today’s episode is all about Permanent Midnight, based on the memoir by television writer Jerry Stahl. Jake and Michael discuss different sodas, start beef with Marc Maron, and brainstorm a new podcast idea that sounds even worse than this one—not to mention the inclusion of the first ever double agreement and the resulting sound effect.

Hey, Wilsonites! This time it’s a look at Michael Bay’s 1998…classic?…Armageddon. Armageddon is the most Michael Bay movie to ever exist. There’s a lot of yelling and explosions, but not a lot of Owen Wilson. Jake and Mike spend way too much time talking about all the Batman movies because nothing happens in this one. The benefits of montages are explored and Putin murders Jake. Only in New York, amirite?
