In this episode of the Worthy and Whole Podcast, we are talking about spring cleanup for the soul and what being a gardener can teach us about Christian growth, pruning, healing, renewal, and partnering with God in a new season. As the weather warms and the garden begins to wake up, spring reveals what winter left behind, the dead leaves, broken branches, overgrowth, and even the things that are still there but no longer belong where they are. In the same way, God often uses new seasons in our lives to reveal what needs tending, what needs pruning, and what may need to be released, transplanted, or nurtured for new growth. In this episode, I share reflections from my own spring garden and how the Lord used it to speak to me about: * letting go of what no longer fits * trusting God’s pruning and repositioning * resisting comparison with someone else’s “garden” * learning to see your life with more grace * partnering with God instead of striving for perfection If you are in a season of healing, spiritual growth, emotional renewal, or making room for what God wants to do next, this episode will encourage you to trust the Master Gardener and remember that your life is not riding on your perfection. * John 15:1–2 * 2 Corinthians 5:17 * 1 Corinthians 3:6–7 If this episode encouraged you, be sure to share it with a friend, leave a review, and subscribe to the Worthy and Whole Podcast so more women can grow in peace, wholeness, and their God-given worth. "Won’t He Do It?" Delivered but Not Done: Doing Your Part in the Miracle

In this episode, LeighAnn Ricci shares a powerful reminder that God’s deliverance is real, but deliverance is not the same as completion. Just like the Israelites were brought out of Egypt but still had to learn how to trust, obey, and walk with God, we too are invited to participate in the freedom Christ has already made available. If you have ever prayed for breakthrough, experienced a moment of healing, or felt God set you free, only to find yourself tempted to return to old patterns, this episode will encourage you. Freedom in Christ is not about striving harder; it is about partnering with the Holy Spirit, renewing your mind, storing up God’s Word in your heart, and choosing obedience one step at a time. God can deliver you in a moment, but learning to live free is a daily walk of faith. In this episode, we talk about: * Why deliverance does not mean the journey is over * How old patterns can feel familiar even when they are no longer freedom * What the Israelites teach us about Egypt, wilderness, trust, and obedience * Why faith requires participation, not passivity * How to partner with God as you walk out your new life in Christ Scripture references include John 8:36, Philippians 4:13, John 14:15, Romans 12:2, 2 Corinthians 10:5, Psalm 119:11, Exodus 14:13–14, Deuteronomy 30:19–20, and Galatians 5:1. Because who the Son sets free is free indeed. Thanks for listening and please subscribe to the show!

Check Your Beach Bag: What I’m NOT Bringing With Me Into Summer for More Peace, Joy, and Overflow

In this final episode of the fun Summer Overflow mini-series, we’re talking about what we're NOT bringing with us into summer. Using a simple beach bag analogy, LeighAnn walks through the heavy patterns that can steal our joy, drain our peace, and pull us back into striving - hurry, pressure, body shame, comparison, mom guilt, resentment, spiritual apathy, and the belief that we are behind. This episode is an invitation to pause, take a look at what you’ve been carrying, and choose what brings life instead. Through Scripture, reflection, and practical encouragement, you’ll be reminded that overflow does not come from doing summer perfectly. It comes from staying connected to Jesus, choosing peace, practicing presence, and releasing what no longer belongs in your life. If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed, rushed, resentful, disconnected, or like you’re carrying too much, this episode will help you make room for a summer rooted in freedom, joy, and abiding in Christ. Scriptures mentioned include Deuteronomy 30:19, Matthew 11:28, Galatians 5, Philippians 4:8, Matthew 5:37, Genesis 2, and John 15. Thank you for listening to the podcast! How to Have a Summer of Overflow: Abiding in Jesus Instead of Chasing More

Are you trying to have the best summer ever but already feeling the pressure to do more, plan more, and make every moment count? In this episode of the Worthy & Whole Podcast, we’re talking about how to have a summer of overflow by abiding in Jesus instead of chasing more experiences. Summer can bring so much joy, nostalgia, family time, sunshine, beach days, pool days, vacations, and memory-making but it can also become another place where we strive, compare, overplan, and live from lack. Through John 15, we’ll explore what it means to remain in Jesus, make room for Him, and bring Him into the summer we are already living. You’ll be encouraged to stop trying to force fulfillment and start receiving the peace, joy, renewal, and abundant life that come from staying connected to Christ. If you’re a busy mom, a Christian woman craving peace, or someone who wants a more meaningful and fulfilling summer, this episode will help you shift from striving to abiding and experience Jesus in the ordinary, beautiful, messy, and joy-filled moments of your life. Scriptures mentioned: John 15:5, Psalm 16:11, James 4:8 Listen in and be reminded: the most fulfilling summer is not found in doing all the things. It’s found in making room for Jesus and bringing Him with you wherever you go. Don’t Miss Your Summer: How to Live a Fulfilling Summer with Presence and Intention

Do you ever get to the end of summer and wonder, “Where did all the time go?” In this episode of the Worthy & Whole podcast, we’re beginning a refreshing summer series about presence, peace, joy, and learning how to fully live the season you’re actually in. Instead of waiting for vacation, perfect weather, a clear calendar, or the next big thing to feel alive again, this conversation invites you to slow down and receive the simple gifts God is already placing in your everyday life. We’ll talk about summer embodiment, practicing presence through the five senses, creating “mini vacations” inside ordinary days, and choosing two or three words that describe how you want to feel by the end of summer. With Scripture from James 1:17, Psalm 34:8, Philippians 4:8, Psalm 118:24, John 14:27, and Ecclesiastes 3:11, this episode will help you stop rushing past your life and begin noticing the goodness of God right where you are. Because a full summer and a fulfilling summer are not the same thing. My prayer is that when summer ends, you don’t say, “Where did the time go?” You say, “Wow, what an amazing summer. I was actually present for it.” I'm LeighAnn, a women's health nurse turned professional Christian coach. aflevering Healing Body Image with Body Acceptance, Neutrality, and Body Appreciation artwork

Healing Body Image with Body Acceptance, Neutrality, and Body Appreciation

What if you do not have to love every part of your body to stop having a negative mindset about it? In this episode of the Worthy & Whole Podcast, LeighAnn, a women’s health nurse and Christian holistic coach, offers a grounded, faith-based conversation about body image, body positivity, body acceptance, body neutrality, body kindness, and body respect. Instead of forcing fake positivity or trying to convince yourself to love every part of your appearance, this episode invites you into a more realistic and Christ-centered way to relate to your body. Your body is not the source of your worth, Jesus is. But your body is the place where you live, love, worship, serve, heal, and walk out your God-given purpose. Through relatable imagery, Scripture, and compassionate truth, LeighAnn explores how body positivity can become a lifestyle of care rather than pressure to perform confidence. You’ll be encouraged to stop treating your body like the enemy and begin honoring it with acceptance, kindness, nourishment, movement, rest, and respect. In this episode, you’ll learn: * Why body positivity does not have to mean loving every part of your body all the time * How body acceptance can lead to healthier self-care instead of shame * Why body neutrality can be freeing for women tired of appearance pressure * How to practice body kindness by asking, “What does my body need?” * What Scripture teaches about honoring the body without worshiping it * How to see your body as a vessel, a home, and a gift to steward with peace Scriptures referenced include Luke 12:23 and 1 Corinthians 6, reminding us that life is more than food, the body is more than clothes, and our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit. If you are a Christian woman struggling with negative body image, self-criticism, body shame, comparison, or the pressure to love your body perfectly, this episode will help you begin with something gentler: acceptance, appreciation, neutrality, kindness, and respect. Your body is not your worth and your appearance is not your identity. You do not have to make your body your enemy to pursue healing, health, and wholeness.
