This week, Podimo launches in Norway 

With both podcasts and audiobooks in the same app, the streaming service Podimo aims to provide the best audio entertainment regardless of format. 

 Råning with Tone, Suksess with Jan Thomas, and Uforklarlig with Lilli Bendriss are just some of the podcasts that will be available exclusively on the new streaming service that Norwegian users will have access to this week. 

- There is no doubt that the audio market is growing and that Norwegians have made both podcasts and audiobooks a natural part of their daily lives. Our goal is to challenge and surprise Norwegian listeners with new and exciting audio concepts, says Fride von Porat, Country Manager at Podimo.

Free and Premium versions

The service will launch both a free version and two premium versions. Users who want to listen to podcasts for free will have access to all podcasts that are otherwise freely available on RSS (Spotify, iTunes, etc.). Premium users can choose between a Premium subscription (79 kr./month) or Premium PLUS (169 kr./month). 

Has captured established profiles

Established podcasts like G-Punktet with “Skal vi danse” contender Iselin Guttormsen and Bagateller with Jannecke Weeden and Henrik Thodesen will also be available exclusively on Podimo.

– We are gathering some of Norway's most exciting profiles on one single platform. Some of the audio concepts have been developed specifically for Podimo's listeners, while others we already know of. But even the established podcasts will get a new packaging. When “Bagateller” becomes exclusive to us, the podcast will, among other things, get bonus episodes and new columns, says Lina Tandberg Martens, Head of Content at Podimo.

Large audiobook library

Premium users will also gain access to a large library of audiobooks from publishers such as Kagge forlag and Strawberry Publishing. Premium customers get access to 10 hours of audiobook listening per month. For an additional 90 kr./month, users will have unlimited access to the entire audiobook catalog.

With the Premium subscription, you get access to exclusive content that is not available on other platforms. In addition, you get access to 10 hours of audiobook listening per month.

Premium PLUS - 169 kr./month 

With Podimo PLUS, you get unlimited access to the entire audiobook catalog in addition to the exclusive podcasts.
